  1. @jayski, what about the Reflex 3 that is out now? Will the improved/embedded footbed make the Reflex 3 on the same order of responsiveness as the HO?
  2. Check Plantetnautique. There is a thread on there about programming a different ECM to be used on the GT-40. It has been done with success. Hope I don't need to deal with it personally but I do know you aren't the only one that's gone down this path.
  3. Probably just didnt run it long enough. Water hose was putting out more than the pump pulls in. With a fake a lake you'd see water spewing out from the plunger at hull intake but not until the engine has run for a while. You may have just reached that point but once you saw water going everywhere you felt like it wasnt taking anymore in but I bet it was.
  4. When you say intake, are you referring to the intake that goes into the raw water pump?
  5. Also, I've had a perfectly good appearing impeller be bad as it was stripped from the hub. Upon inspection you couldnt tell it was bad.
  6. Did you use a fake-a-lake to connect water hose? Or go directly into the raw water pump intake hose? I'm wadering if you didnt get enough to prime the raw water pump so it could start to pick up. Also, did you see water come out with the exhaust? If you did then all should be good but perhaps it didnt warm up enough to open your thermostat so as to allow water to circulate within the engine.
  7. @Horton, @autpatking, Any updates on the ARC ?
  8. @Bdecker --thanks for the insight. The helix is my first D3, purchased it off SIA used. Since I don't see much about folks using the Helix I thought I might benefit from an upgrade. I do like the Helix but haven't skied a lot of others. One question, are you on the ARC or ARC-S?
  9. @Horton, @santangelo... My first post on BOS may cost me a lot of money. Something inside was hoping you'd say "stay on the Helix until your at shorter lengths", or "if you think an ARC is going to make you into a 32 off skier you are mistaken"
  10. @Horton I'm on a Helix 67" now, what can I expect to gain with the ARC? Doesn't sound like there is much of learning curve with this ski. I am a 22-28 off skier,53 yo, 6'1" 180lbs. Also curious as to what length is best for me? Skiing now at 32 mph but should be at 34mph.
