    mapping Zero off

@TEL funny that you mention this because when I was driving Sunday I noticed there were no beeps as we entered the gates or passing the boat guides. Did not think much about it though. Makes sense now.
  2. @TEL just have it fixed before Sunday!! just kidding. sounds like you found the fix!
  3. After reading the comments I decided to exchange the Pro Locks for a pair of Radar Vapor K gloves. I have enough to think about without worrying about how my gloves will perform. Also did not want to modify the gloves: sand strap, add glue etc. and render them nonreturnable. I think I will like the Boa closure system as it really lets you get a tight fit.
  4. I know the Lake Rose @lpskier is referring to, plenty big enough for a jump. It has an Orlando mailing address so maybe when @Mark_Matis puts in "Lake Rose Winter Garden" the closest match is Winter Park.
  5. @wayne yeah I probably have the death grip going on so not sure how that will work out. I'm using a 1in diameter handle so should be good there. Was not really looking to ski longer just have noticed my hands are getting beat up ( see death grip). Maybe this will help me relax more. Thanks all for the input.
  6. If you are dead set on an outboard my choice would be the Mastercraft barefoot 200 or power star for open bow. Who knows you may get the barefoot bug. However being a Nautique guy with a $15k budget I would look for a 97-99 196.
  7. Anyone using these? I usually buy the K Palms but they were out of stock so I picked up a pair of Pro Locks. Was wondering if there is any sort of adjustment period as I have never used a pair of clincher style gloves.
  8. received a gift certificate for @perfski. Gave my son his first slalom ski. Was'nt quite sure on the purchase as he has been luke warm on skiing. To my suprise he was really excited and wanted to ski today. Most of the time I have to talk him into going. Got in with just board shorts.
  9. Back on the water today four months post shoulder surgery. Went out for a free ski keeping both hands on the handle while making turns. I definitely favored my right side letting my right arm handle more load (left shoulder injured). Was wondering how any baller progressed getting back into the course. Good news is no pain!
  10. Way to go @TEL ! Guess we both have something to celebrate today as my Dr gave me the go ahead to ski. It was just a free ski making turns with both hands on the handle. It was great to be on the water after missing most of the summer.
  11. Hmmm.... Hustons has a location in Orlando also and that 2013 might be there. 407-892-6002 Steve Bauman. As for that '14 don't know
  12. Hustons Mastercraft in Lake Wales (hr from Orlando) has a 2013 Malibu TXI open bow with trailer 375 hrs . $39,995. Its still on their site anyways.
  13. I'm sure they will deal. A new single axle Ram Lin trailer will set you back around $4300 give or take. Used trailers seem to be scarce.
  14. In all my years of changing my oil I have always done 5 qts and a filter. I recently read an older thread, SN 200 burning oil, in which PCM advised 4qts with filter and then adding 5ozs or so at a time until level is at full mark. A friend recently had her 2011 200 with the Ex 343 at the dealer for repair. While there the oil was changed and according to the repair order 6 qts were used. Was anything different in 2011? 4 1/2, 5, 6 which is it?
  15. STOP SKIING. I had a partial tear that did not bother me so I kept skiing and going to the gym. It finally let go and a partial tear turned into according to my surgeon a massive tear. Surgery last April and presently in PT. Get it taken care of now before it becomes a more serious injury.
  16. Echoing what @Edbrazil posted. I remember reading a story about a camper who was dragged from his tent during the night. Somehow the camper escaped. @ScottScott state officials have said not to worry they won't gain a foothold. Yeah right, thats what they said about the python also which has flourished in the everglades and is now a problem.
  17. Couple of nights ago I watched a National Geographic program about the exploding population of crocs in Australia. The show metioned that they are found in all bodies of water there. They are more aggressive than our American Alligator. Large crocs are very common and they will stalk you and kill day or night. Any down under ballers have any experience with crocs?
  18. Living in Fl I tell new residents/visitors if there is a body of water assume there is a gator in it. Some have even ended up in residential swimming pools. The family was from Nebraska I'm sure they had no idea. thoughts and prayers go out to them.
  19. I purchased a 196 on ebay, transaction went smooth. A funny story also. I used to drop by my local Nautique dealer quite often just to look at the used boats. A 196 caught my eye however I was'nt quite ready to pull the trigger. Of course when I was ready it was gone. Later I found a boat on ebay and won the auction which in itself was kind of fun. The seller lived in my state so we met half way. I thought the boat looked familer so I asked where he got it from and it came from my local dealer. It was the same one I looked at earlier! The best part was is the purchase price was 5K less than the dealer wanted.
  20. @jipster43 curious about your torn rotator cuff as I recently tore mine. Awaiting MRI results to see how serious. Did you require surgery? How long before you were back on the water? Really bummed weekend temps climbing into the eighties. Had a couple of rides so far but afraid season is done.
  21. I think I look foward to this more than christmas! haha
  22. My first boat was a 1977 Hydrosteam Vector with a big Mercury on the back. Besides skiing I liked going fast. It topped out around 70. Starts were interesting as it had a 26 pitch chopper prop. Thats when I learned the one foot in start. Wakes were tiny and it was fun to slalom behind (once up). My first inboard was a 1980 Correctcraft Ski Nautique. Talk about big wakes. Comming from an outboard I was not used to the low speed handling of an inboard. One of the chain of lakes I skied on had a long narrow canal with a wooden sea wall and my first time through it I bumped the sides most of way through it. Haha, glad it was not new.
  23. I was able to get in a few passes before an early morning T-storm cut my ride short. On the pull up I sensed this ski is going to be special as it felt very light under foot. I immediately felt very comfortable on this ski. Very user friendly. Normally I like to free ski a new ski to get a feel for it but went straight to the course instead. My my my, I was able to get wide and early with very little effort. I think this is going to be my next ski!
  24. Agree with @jhughes on the 90-96 CC I put 2000 hrs on my 90. Ergonomics much better than the MC. The rotation you get used to. My choice would be 97-99 CC. Sounds like your pretty set on Mastercraft. @hogballer check Ebay I saw a nice 94 and a 96 MC on there recently.
