  1. I love my t-factor. I have it for my front foot only and I have a toe plate for the back foot. The only issue I had is with the little cincher. I grabbed it by mistake to tighten things instead of grabbing the bungee itself and the whole cincher ended in the lake. Zip ties can prevent that.

  2. A friend of mine has a nice drone and he came to the lake with me this past Sunday. No course, just free skiing, but this is the first time I can see myself from the air and it's pretty amazing to see what drones can do these days.

  3. I understand that there is no binding system that is 100% safe. However, I would like to bring up a comparison to the snow ski world where decades to tweaking have produced relatively safe binding systems that achieve 2 things: 1) they protect the ankles with boots that come up to mid leg 2) they release if a sufficiently high force is applied in any direction, a force that is tuned to the skier level and application (a beginner skier requires a much lower force than a downhill racer in a competition).

In comparison, in the water ski world, there is still quite a bit of experimentation, possibly due to the smaller water ski market vs the snow ski market, or possibly due to the differences of 2 feet on 2 sticks vs 1 stick with feet one in front of the other. The types of falls may also be different, with most water ski falls (no data here, just my guess) happening in the line of travel (OTF falls) vs all kinds of falls in the snow ski world.

Reflex, MOB and others offer very interesting systems, but the parallel to the snow ski world could bring some other interesting breakthroughs. Just my humble opinion.
