Hi, I have been skiing on my HO CX for a year now and I'm starting to get board of it. I have been thinking that I might get another ski any suggestions? I ski most of the time on open water at 32 to 34 mph, but have started to course ski. On the course I have skied 32mph 15off, but only if I’m not early to ball one. I would like to get a Goode, but will take any and all suggestions. Thanks

I have been trying to get my dad to get a more modern ski, but I'm not sure what to get. He skis on a EP stiletto. HE has also skied on a HO Truth, HO CDX-1, and a HO CX. He dose not like any of those skis. He has a bad back and skis at 15off 32mph. I was thinking something like the HO TX, Connelly V, or Radar Senate.

I have been wanting to get in to course skiing for the last two years because we just got the course put back on are lake. Due to bad weather and issue with a bent fin I have not been able to ski on the course this year. Just in time too the course will be taken out at the end of the month.

If you have the money I would definitely buy a masterline. The straight line rope is the rope that i have had the best luck with for a cheep price. It also is the same Length as the HO ropes I have used.

I had a HO Accurat custom Grip it only lasted about a year then it was all tore up. In my opinion the straightline is the best rope handle combo for the price. If you bought a more expensive handle I would hope it would last longer then a cheaper one.

If your looking for a good rope for $60 to $80 I would buy a straightline we have been skiing on them for years. We usually get 3 to 4 years out of them at 32mph 15off and we ski 4 or more days a week.

Really there are not any settings for a HO Truth.

Can some one give me the fin and binding settings?

Ok thanks for the help. The ski has some dents in the tip so I think I'm going to pass on it.

Thanks; I’m glad that I might be able to put my HO bindings on it. I found a few more skis and was wondering if they would be a good choice if this one doesn’t work out?

Ok thanks, Im skiing on an ho cx right now. I also would like some help with my AMP I'm 6.2 and 180lbs.

I have wanted to buy a Goode water ski for a few years. I saw this one for sale its an older one and its really cheep. I want to know if it was worth buying or not. I wont be able to ski on it tell the end of next year because I can only bring one ski with me. I free ski most of the time, but have started to ski on the course. Imost likely would use it as a back up ski or for days when its ruff out.

OK thanks 25 minutes is about what it takes to put in all 6 turn buoys depending on water conditions.

Thats Cool now all they have to do is put a ford 5.8l in it and it will be just like the original.

I have been wondering if a portable course is worth trying to get or not. I'm on a lake with a permanent course and I'm trying to find something easier then jumping in the water to put buoys in.

How long does it take to put a portable course in?

Would I have to get a permit for a portable course?

Any thing would help I’m not looking for any thing state specific yet. I’m also always on a time crunch so I need to find a faster way to put buoys in to get more skiing in.

I’m just trying to see if anyone has tried this or not or if someone has advice. Thanks

 

That’s great customer service. I'm having a different experience whit HO right now I called them more then 2 weeks ago. They told me they would ship it after I sent them a photo of it. So I'm going to try to get a hold of them again tomorrow.

Have you tryed putting it on ebay and craigslist?

Don't crush the hull!!!!!! If you do end up parting it out sell the hull or give it away someone will want one.

The combo pair seem ok, but there are expensive. I would think any old combo pair would work I would look into getting a cheeper pair.

I would think the TX is the best option. It would be good for what your looking for, but not sure about 34mph. The freeride is made for speeds like 24mph to 26mph. The superlight is not worth the money and for the price you can buy alot better ski. I do like the clean edge my self I ski on a ho CX and I have skied 28off at 34mph. Your going to have to upgrade when you start skiing at 34mph and 36mph regularly.

What speeds are you going to be skiing at? If I was you I would not get to TX superlight because at slow speeds there is no reason to get a carbon fiber ski. Have you looked at skis like the radar P6, connelly outlaw or anything else. Have you looked at skiitagain .com?
