  1. I believe the guy there is named Danny. Like @KRoundy Danny and I talked on the phone a couple of times, plus there was an order form that I filled out complete with measurements and pictures. I can say that my bimini was a perfect fit when it was delivered.
  2. Another vote for Tower biminis here too. deck mounted on my ski centurion.
  3. Bob Schouten can be found on facebook. I reached out to him with a friend request after Doug Hamrick told me that Bob would be maintaining the course located in the cove where Don Kelly used to live. Yes, Don sold his house on Lake Martin so he and his wife can travel the country. Don's course is the one closest to the marina where I keep my boat. And yet, I've only done a couple of sets there. Good luck!

    Bimini height

I don't have the boat here. I could measure the distance of the legs on the bimini top for you, as it's in my garage right now.

    Bimini height

I worked with Danny at Tower Biminis on my deck mounted bimini. I didn't want mine to be too high. Danny's measurements and estimates were great. My bimini is the perfect height to allow my walk through windshield segment to open and close and yet it's still low and has that factory look. Check out the deck mounted options here: https://towerbiminis.com/gallery/deck-mounted/
  6. Thanks. I see where it is now. We rode right by it, but were looking in the wrong place or on the wrong side.
  7. @Mcknight - yes please. That's where I heard it was, but we rode all the way around the island and never found the cove. BTW, there's a facebook group called: Big Creek Slalom. You can find info there about their course on Norris.
  8. My parents live on Turkey Creek [Ft. Loudon Lake]. The slalom course that used to be in Turkey creek was owned and maintained by the UT Waterski club. Unfortunately, the course and the ski club are both long gone (as far as I know). Wouldn't matter anyway as the boat traffic in there is terrible now. When my parents moved there one side of the creek property was farm. Now, it's a fully developed neighborhood. There was a slalom course on Douglas lake, adjacent to the Mountain Harbor Inn among some islands, but as far as I know, it's gone too. (I haven't been on that lake in years.) I have relatives also on both Cherokee and Watts Bar. The course we used to ski on Cherokee isn't there anymore. And I heard that there's a course on the upper end of Watts Bar, right near the town of Kingston. With Covid, I haven't been up there at all this season. These are the directions that I got: From the Kingston City park, head south, then bear to the left at the split and go under the bridge (up the Tenn river towards Tellico / Ft. Loudon). The course is in the 2nd cove on the right. Looking at the map that would mean that it would exist (potentially) in either Riley Creek, Chamberlin Branch, or Stamp Creek Valley. I had heard of a 2nd course on Watts Barr on the south end. A couple of seasons ago, my cousin and I went looking for it on a Sea Doo and came up empty. Might be worth investigating though still. I saw youtube videos of runs made in that course. Try searching youtube for course videos based on location and then see if you can engage the posters for info. Sorry this isn't much help for what you're looking for.
  9. My Ski Centurion had a VDO clock too. I chose not to replace it. I remade my dash panels and I just went with 5 2 inch holes instead of 6. You may find some airguide parts here: http://www.classicboatwork.com/classicparts/gauges/airguide/agr/agr.html
  10. Thanks BM, that's good to know. From a shopping perspective the 1 1/8" shafts appear to be more readily available in various lengths than the 1" shafts.
  11. Boats of this vintage seemed to use a 1" diameter shaft, right? Like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Boat-Propeller-Shaft-100914-42-x-1-Inch-Stainless-Steel/193407658676?hash=item2d07feaab4:g:Wm8AAOSwdNlehlVG
  12. Love this, great boat, looks like fun skiing too. Glad it was saved from the junk yard.
  13. reminds me of "old school" lightning McQueen. :)
  14. My 1993 Ski Centurion Falcon is a stringer up restore job. I had a lot of help from my family and it was a fun project. We enjoy it a lot still. But, like @"Keith Menard" mentioned above, it's easy to bury the nose on this boat too. It has the sloped nose, much like a Ski Brendella.
  15. This guy was the GOAT. And when he won (and that was a lot) he was going to show you the drain plug going over the finish line. It was fun to watch him race at both the Atlanta SX and Daytona SX. I also got to see him live at Budds Creek, MD for an outdoor national.
  16. I love this thread too. It has a lot of things that I like including restoring an old boat to new glory. The SB has such great lines and is very similar to my own Ski Centurion Falcon with the sloped nose. Keep the pics coming.
  17. Jetpilot - Congrats! That's my marina. Russel Marine - River North location. I've had my hands on your boat. I stood there and talked with Doug about it for a while. Enjoy!
  18. Arizona Speed & Marine might be able to help you out. It'd be worth a call. http://azspeed.com/ doh! They may not do Fords. Sorry.
  19. Woah that sucks. Heal up quick. Yeah for good friends.
  20. My son is 15 and I'm ready to start teaching him how to drive. I feel really bad for this kid and his Dad. This went from something cool like, "Hey look, my kid is driving and I'm skiing" to something not so good. Again, thankfully, no one is injured, but some equipment is torn up pretty severely. I hope, like any good dad, that he was able to console his kid and say, "It's just a boat." (even though, we all know that that IS hard to say.)
  21. There's a sweet (pun intended) dock start in this Juicy Fruit commercial: https://youtu.be/khsm7NCYP7g
  22. Glad it worked out. There are some uShip horror stories on some of the manufacturer boat boards. Basically, the shipper holding the boat hostage.
  23. I found the "blemish" on mine, and it's really nothing. And, if I was a customer in store and purchased the ski, it wouldn't have been a discounted blemish. There's a dimple on the front right side, below the paint that is the size of a ball point pen. That's it. I didn't take this ski to the lake this weekend. Being a holiday weekend and having a full crew in the boat, I knew that there wouldn't be good conditions to ski in, and it would get beat up some in the boat, and it's so pretty, that I can't do that to it...yet.
  24. So, I just unboxed mine. It's beautiful. And, I don't see any blemish...in fact, I pealed off the Ski-Pro $1540 price tag off it. Very nice. Anyone else same situation?
