  1. @gcam4 we have put the wake plate in just about every position possible, with and without ballast, with and without seats, with and without people. Nothing seem to work well.

  3. Family decided to sell supra and chaparral together. Friday we leave for vacation in Florida and will be checking out newer boats in that area. The way everything is working out, it sounds like (not set in stone) we might be coming back up to buffalo trailering an open bow 200

  5. Anyone familiar with the nautique 206???
  6. Thanks for the info everyone, I'll have to look into all the options for boats and report back
  7. Looks like the best bet is putting it up on ski it again or something. Anyone wanna buy a supra!!!! Haha
  8. @gt2003 trying to buy from a dealer to get trade in on the supra
  9. Would having an open bow ski boat that could fit the whole family be nice, yes. Although, it is not a necessity, the most amount of people we have in the boat at once is 5 people, a bit snug in the supra, but we can make it work if we have to. I'm looking to buy the boat that will perform the best on the water, closed or open bow. If possible to kill two birds with one stone (spacious and performance) that would be awesome, all the better. The main point i have to emphasize is that 15-17k price range. I appreciate the responses from everyone, thanks
  10. Thanks for all the comments guys. Both boats seem great, might just have to go with the best deal!
  11. I guess if space is out of the question and the lxi is not an option. I'm just looking for the boat with a better wake at this point. Opinions on either one?
  12. @TFisher the lxi doesn't have the diamond hull correct? I was under the assumption the lx has a better wake with the diamond hull
  13. Towards the end of last season I bought my first inboard (87' supra comp). Let me just start by saying it is an amazing boat, low 400 hours, leather has barely been touched, runs great. Unfortunately it just doesn't do what our family is looking to do. The closed bow makes the boat a bit snug, the whole family just can't fit. The wake on the supra is a bit tall and sharp at times, making it a bit difficult to progress. This year our family was hoping to get into some course skiing and we're looking to upgrade. Two of the boats I happened to come across was a 98' response lx and 01 ski nautique. From what I have come across through various forums on the Internet, both were extremely well designed for the time period and have some of the best wakes for slalom. If anybody has any opinions on either boat feel free to weigh in, all comments are greatly appreciated. Both boats are priced at $14k, budget is really no more than $15k. Thanks, Nick
  14. @Chuck_Dickey yes sir. Just like the one they used in 87' Thorpe London. Im probably gonna sell it soon, not a fan of the wakes. They look small but I get airborne every crossing.
  15. First turn of the morning. Just testing the release system on my supershell.....more or less
  16. Does anyone know of any ski coaches in or near Rochester NY? I ski at Honeoye lake in the finger lake region. Thanks
  17. thanks @Wish @MISkier our supra has the old ford engine
  18. Will all versions of perfect pass work for this boat @Wish
  19. Is it possible to install any form of perfect pass or zero off on this boat. It doesn't have a speed control system
  20. Took into consideration all the thoughts and ideals as to why there was a considerable "rooster tail" on the back of this ski boat that clearly shouldn't have been there. Pulled the boat out early spring to mold the wake plate dead flat and made a substantial difference....wake is gorgeous
  21. A merry Christmas from reflex. A rather green Christmas here in buffalo, ski season should start soon at this rate.
  22. @Web ......nice I ski honeoye lake right next door
  23. People with long arms I feel have a physical disadvantage in pull-ups push-ups and bench (me). But if I'm lucky I can knock out 15 pull-ups on a good day
  24. Does this make the senate C any "better" because it has the strada shape?
