  1. I guess I just gotta find the sweet spot. And I'll report back with the rpm's at different speeds but we put the boat away last weekend so I'll have to do it next year. Thanks everyone for there comments!
  2. My boat on the top seems considerably lower as far as wake plate goes compared to the same boat I found on YouTube
  3. A lot of people say how nice these old supras are.......I just can't figure out why the wake is so big. Can the plate being too far down make the wake bigger?!?
  4. The plate is flat with the hull though, that's the problem
  5. The plate is flat with the hull though, that's the problem
  6. Speedo could very well be the problem, I mistyped on the other comment. My speedos do read two different speeds at times. When I was skiing on our other boat 36 seemed pretty fast, but on the new(old) supra I feel like I could go 40 and it still doesn't feel as fast
  7. Don't know what my RPMs are but I don't have a problem with my two speedos reading differently @Dacon62 @aupatking
  8. The plate on the boat is dead flat and the wake is surprisingly large @aupatking
  9. @Dacon62 30-32 @Zman just the standard stock three blade prop
  10. Really? I thought with the plate down it flattens the wake, could be wrong @Wish
  11. http://cd8ba0b44a15c10065fd-24461f391e20b7336331d5789078af53.r23.cf1. Definately was ahead of its time, does anyone know the stock settings for the wake plate or how far down its supposed to be set. There is no way the wake should be that big right? No stringer rot and no soaked foam in the bottom. I guess I'm confused why the wake is so big, can anyone help me out. Thanks ballers
  12. I throw and punch with my right arm but write with my left hand and my right arm is stronger I kick with my left leg but my right leg is stronger and my dominant leg. I ski with my right foot forward but can successfully deep water start with both feet forward and get up on the first try. I'm guessing it's all about what feels comfortable? Would it make sense to have your "stronger" leg forward to effectively support all the weight on your front foot of the ski
  13. OLD 87' supra comp ts6m
  14. Hello BOS. I'd just like to start by saying thank you for all the previous comments on my other discussion topics, this one is a bit similar to my other one. I have a little bit of trouble understanding some of the proper technique comments (I'm a first year skier) if you guys could dumb this down for me as much as possible that would be awesome! My first question is where should my foot pressure be on my ski during the phases of a pass (the pull out, the glide, the turn in, crossing the wake, the turn etc). Second, I have difficulty comprehending which direction my hips should be facing or rotated during those same phases. In the video it seems as if I get the ski under the handle pretty decently but everything after that is a mess, I have no one to help me but you guys and a whole lot of YouTube when I'm bored. Thanks again
  15. I'm thinking I might just have to demo a bunch of skis, probably the best way to do it. I greatly appreciate the comments everyone!!!
  16. @oldjeep is right, not necessarily looking for a ski that I can't use while I free ski (which isn't possible, all skis can be free skied on) but I'm really looking to do mostly 70% course skiing next year. Really deciding if I want a higher end ski such as the super lite HO CX skis or the less advanced regular CX. The radar vapor or the senate. I'm sure both categories of skis can handle its own on the course
  17. Great reviews on both skis!!! Still can't decide, might have to demo both skis. Really looking at whether I want a ski that I can free ski on and use on the course or just a "course only" ski (higher end skis). What is the difference between these categories of skis, does it have to do with the PU vs PVC core or the flex etc....
  18. That's exactly how I am, I think I've narrowed it down to a couple of skis and then I see a different one that becomes a candidate...... Leaning towards the radar senate, I'm an intermediate skier but I'm sure my choice with change 10 times by next ski season
  19. Thanks for the comments everyone, anyone else have some great skis for the course????
  20. What's the difference in the "core" of the skis
  21. I'm not a huge fan of the ski, someone who knows what they're doing or a pro I bet could absolutely rip it up on this ski, but being a novice the ski seems to drag and sink a lot, could be cause of how narrow the ski is and I'm not going fast enough. I think what happens is, because the bindings are literally right to the edge of the ski (a very narrow ski) I start to roll on my edge and the water hits the binding causing me to drag and stand me up, could be completely wrong though
