I have commented here before - still closed season for me, but last season I enjoyed a great improvement on the Syndicate Omni. See these previous posts. Nothing has happened to change my view.
-
My daughter learnt on an HO Revolt, which was great. I suspect the HO Girls Omni is a great development. Whatever she rides, I hope she enjoys it.
-
I am definitely with the try if you can before you buy skiers.
I don't want to confuse you, but I tried an ARC [blue] and a 2016 Radar Lithium Vapor - coming off an older D3 Fusion. I ended up with the with the Omni Syndicate [a gift - see elsewhere on BoS]. My performance improved significantly and now I am a 34 mph skier. The extra width help without any apparent [to me anyway] decrease in performance.
Good luck whichever way you go.

As others will know, I am a big fan of the Omni [i have an Omni Syndicate] - I have posted about it several times on BallofSpray so you could search under Sivota or Omni. The slightly increased width gives greater stability without appearing to lose any performance. I was given one as a present and so did not try it before I bought. My skiing has improved enormously, and I enjoy skiing on it.
@MuskokaKy is right, you will hear a lot about the Senate, which obviously is a very good ski, but it is not the only one out there.
@savaiusini and @MarcusBrown know the ski well being part of HO, but they are also well respected. To be able to try before you buy seems to me to be a no-brainer. You have nothing to lose and may be excited about how you ski on it. It not, no real loss.
Whichever way you go, good luck. Once you are in the course it will be more addictive than you imagine - and you can freeski when you want to.

I have a Hyperfreak 0.5. I agree with @Andy - it fits me well, is effective and has no rips or tears. It was so good I bought a second one.
-
I have a Rip Curl E-Bomb 2mm Long Sleeve Shorty and an O'Neill Hyperfreak 2mm Long Sleeve Shorty. The Rip Curl is really stretchy and easy to get into. The O'Neill is a little more difficult to get into and you are aware of the front zip, but it does not bother me. They are both slightly more difficult to get out of than a back zip. Both are very good wetsuits, but take an age to dry.
An argument re the front zip is that as zips do not stretch it is less restrictive to have one horizontally across the front than vertically down the back. That may affect surfers more than skiers.

There is plenty of inspiration on BoS. Here is some more - you don't need to watch it all to be inspired:
Great love and support goes a very long way.

Depending on budget I wouldn't rule out the Omni. It is half way between the two.
-
I confess I am the one @vtmecheng correctly identifies as enjoying the Omni. I definitely agree with his comment about going 2017 onwards. These slightly wider skis appear to to continue to improve and in particular they help skiers get into 34mph and start to shorten. I can't comment on the Carbon V or the Senate but obviously they are well regarded too. If you can, try before you buy.

The TX is a fraction wider. I am not sure it has an adjustable fin. Both have been replaced by the Omni line of skis.
-
We are in your corner too. Together we are all stronger. There is a lot of togetherness here!

@Frank_MA makes a sound point.

You will see that I have commented on my Omni Syndicate on another thread
Previously I enjoyed my D3 Fusion but had got a bit stuck. Briefly I tried some other skis. Pretty much from my first set on the Omni I skied in a better position. In less than a month my PB went up by 5 1/2 buoys. The advice I received was that as I had been on a quality ski I should have the Syndicate. I have not been disappointed. Good luck with your choice and happy swerving.

Its getting chillier here in the UK - not quite like skiing with @Horton - but sometimes the wind can be kind. Getting ready, and then the wind dropped for once!

@Deep11 & @fu_man
Also how it is done - Freddi Court at Xtreme:

I have cut and pasted my post from another thread about the Omni as it seems to fit better here:
"I am back from Spain and warmer waters.
The ski performed as I described above.
Marcus was mildly chastised for being off topic when he responded to an different posting, but thought that an improvement of 4-6 buoys was possible on this ski. He was right.
In Spain I ran 34mph [55kph] @ 15 off for the first time - so a PB.
In my last set I ran 34 and then got 3 @ 22 off twice - another PB.
My previous PB before this ski was 3 1/2 @34, 15 off and I had only been into 34 a few times.
Since my return to colder water I have skied twice, the first time I got 4 @ 34, 15 off - a PB on that lake and I got into 34 again today.
I can't comment re other skis in any meaningful way, and clearly the coaching I have received at home and abroad is the most vital part - but this ski certainly has helped me progress. I am told I am in a better position and look as though I am skiing better on it. I am more confident on the Omni and am enjoying myself enormously :) . "

Detailed research! Actually the article about @FWinter was one of a series for The Times newspaper. The 2016 gallery can be seen here and a search using 'My Sporting Body The Times' will let to see other able bodied and disabled athletes. Not all are on a lake going as fast as @FWinter !

warmer climes for our late break in Spain at Xtreme Gene

@DaveLemons I commented on another thread
-
@dvskier Thank you.
@HighAltitude I am not sure my ability qualifies me to comment in any detail. I had my last [slightly colder] ski today before I go to Spain for a week and so may be able to help a little more after that. So far:
I'll keep you posted
-
No Problem, thanks.
-
@dvskier ????? how can you disagree - I did achieve a personal best on it. You might dislike that, albeit it would be unusual for someone on BoS not to want someone to progress.
-
Already it is a PB ski ...
