  1. I have had two. The first flaked and peeled. That has been resolved - the second did not peel but it did stretch and the pads moved around just like @gregy. The back flips up when I drop in. Eagle now and very pleased with it.
  2. Thank you all for your help. The black and silver [graphite/gunmetal] feather frame small has arrived. Fits like a glove and the colour scheme met with approval. It has not been tested on the lake yet. One slight moan is that Radar simply cannot get their distribution sorted out on this side of the pond. A delay in delivery, and now it has arrived with the mounting screws loose in the box - only 3 match and another random screw is included. Three washers, one of which previously has been used. Given that it cost £159 [not US$ but GB£] one might have expected the appropriate screws to be included. As I have said on other posts, my Radar Vapor Boa and HRT are great. It was just a shame I had to wait so many weeks for the HRT to arrive, despite assurances to the contrary. Anyway, it is more important to be on the water ...
  3. I'm with @Chef23 and @Horton - I made the change from Reflex to Vapor. I wore out liners with Reflex. I am sure that was contributed to by taking my foot out of the front shell with the binding still on my foot. I was also anxious that I would not get the tension of the bungee right and would either be stuck or 'pre-release'. Neither has proved to be the case. Whilst we all have different preferences, I have been delighted with my Vapor. I too loosen the bungee when I finish and slide my foot out leaving the liner in the shell.
  4. Thanks for your advice. @gsm_peter I hadn't thought of Profiles for her for two reasons - first I did not realise they came in smaller sizes than the Vapor. I now realise they do. Second, I think at her weight and speed she particularly like the feather frame and the feeling of being very close to the ski. @Mr.D thanks for the caution with regard to the RTP. Comfort is pretty high on her list! :)
  5. The Lyric is women specific "...shaped after the Vector Boot, the Lyric is internally softer, with less volume for a lady’s smaller footprint". Does anyone know whether the difference is significant - comparing small with small ? My wife tried a friend's 2016 Radar Lyric today and really liked it. She was not very excited about the colour scheme [pink and yellow]. The Vector appears more attractive to her - but it sounds as though the binding will be less comfortable and feel a little larger. I would be interested to know whether anyone had any views. Thanks.
  6. The point made by Chef23 is a sound one. I only changed bindings and went from rubber to Reflex back to Radar Vapor. I am sure you will be fine with the front Vapor binding. Up to you whether you go with the HRT or RTP. Although I have kept the stiffeners in the sides, I recall Horton suggesting that you should take them out. I have a very deep measurement from my heel to the top of my foot and found the bindings came up very small. There is plenty of other discussions on this forum about whether to go up a size. For my part, definitely. That said, after only three or so sets I had confidence in the binding and at no point has it felt too large.

    Happy skiing.
