  1. That was awesome, I think there should be a B.O.S. Grand Prix, maybe skiing, cat fishing and golf cart racing
  2. They did this same type of thing with Indy car racing a few years ago , (ruined the sport)

All this stuff is creating more and more cost for local tournaments, not to mention qualified people to donate there time to run the equipment. As it is now to compete you really need a boat with ZO, (cost me a fortune a few years ago), not to mention a private ski lake etc.etc., (possible electric boats). We all would like to see the sport grow but for me if I cant compete it seems useless to enter tournaments with unfamiliar equipment, (mainly compete against myself). I started this sport as a family sport, it was something we could all do and afford after the initial investment, if things keep going the way they are it might be cheaper to go Indy car racing
  4. Nobody can drink that much beer
  5. If I were twhisper and my first pass was with the current I would go off the dock at my hardest pass
  6. I agree with bracemaker a paddlewheel is the only way to accurately tell the speed of a boat across moving water. I don't think a headwind speeds up the water it just creates drag (headwind) or speed (tailwind).
  7. Ski more at the BOS headquarters( more coaching from the man), and try not to get hurt
  8. Spray legs rule can't ski without it and they look cool
  9. Do not consider the blackout from D3, useless, no support. Might be ok as a rear due to flexibility.
  10. MURDER MASTERCRAFT, Notice the white around the interior, this would look BA on the lift at the BOS compound
  11. I ski with the old yellow leverage bindings, tons of support, very durable, (about 15 years old). I have changed the wraps about once a year. I was very disappointed when they discontinued the leverage wrap with the ties (much heavier than the new blackout wraps). I ordered a new blackout front to try, it completely changed the way the ski worked, there was absolutely no support, felt like it was made for a beginner (very comfortable). I am currently looking for a new set up or old leverage wraps.
  12. Ski more (and listen) at the BOS compound. Self coaching does not work
  13. Not sure of the manufacture, ( I will ask him tomorrow) I do know the boat is fuel injected Malibu wake board boat, my friend owns a high performance engine machine shop and thinks it is a good idea, something about the new fuels having not as much lubrication.
  14. Somebody (one of the engine manufactures) suggested to run marvelous mystery oil in the gas the last time you run it before winter. I do
  15. D3 Nomad, Hope John does not see this
  16. Doug Moss is in California and has done many re powers (does it in one day). He did my 2000 SN two years ago, works unbelievably well. You can not tell it was not a factory install, (he also added the ZO ). Sold my GT40 for $3300.00 had about 800 hrs. We used the Excalibur 343. The only problem is that the wake is so good it makes some of the new boats feal hard, I tend to ski a little flat at times.Good luck
  17. Doug Moss (best mechanic ever) did a re-power for me last year on my 2000 SN, works absolutely perfect. Boat skis better than any new boat (almost too good), I am super happy and saved about $15000 over buying a used ZO boat
  18. I am not an artist but if you look close the skier is a ball of spray and has Hortons goggles on, I think it would be a cool BOS shirt.
  19. Not being a normal skier (per Horton) I practice at b2+ and do b2 in tournaments, most of the time it makes the my tournament ride pretty easy
  20. Going to the gym one or two days a week is a total waste of time. Going to the gym is a total waste of time.Do your workout at home (no drive time,no waste of time), do push ups, sit ups, rubber band work, whatever you think helps your sport or sports EVERY DAY (45 minutes or so is good enough), I also run or ride my bike after work a few days a week. When I was a single parent I would get up at 5 am work out make lunches and still get the kids to school and be at work by 8, (yes John there is life before 7 am). Getting up early and working out is addicting (I promise you will get used to it ). Do not take time off working out just because it is ski season it will not work out in the long run. When I work out in the am I watch all the cool shows Kim hates, like mountain man, supercross, gas monkeys, I would watch skiing if it were on, its great and it works. 59 year old baller.
