  1. You pretty much have to look everywhere. SIA is the best IMO but great boats exist other places as well.
  2. @aupatking If you want strong latches I would suggest going to a aircraft parts supply company and getting latches. Most made from 2024 T3 aluminum, lightweight, and won't break. May pay more, but worth the money. I am in the aircraft business, so if you need help PM me.
  3. Even though it isn't supposed to be the brand you ski on I would still ask for a new Vapor. If not maybe a Goode.
  4. I am sure if you came out to Idaho Terry would let you try one. They were demoing a few at nationals.
  5. I am just curious about the Promo boat programs. If you join the program are you required to be at every event in your region? I myself spend a lot of time with my family on our boat and camping in the summer so don't really want to be held to attending every event. Also, what types of discounts are given? Any insight would be great!
  6. @Horton sorry just posted a long link I think....
  7. @Ralph Lee not a 1997 but super cool - click here!
  8. @6balls posting your message you sent to me! Thanks for the insight! Howdy boys, Totally agree on this cost of boat thing. My passion is skiing but I live in MN and get to use my boat late April if I'm lucky thru about end of September. I make a pretty good living (close to a 1%'er so I'm told) and there's NO WAY I can justify nor afford one of these new boats...I don't even buy new vehicles and I use those every day, year 'round. If I can't do it at my income level...I just don't get it...who is buying these boats and how do they do it? Are they doing the 20 year financing and just taking depreciation and interest in the shorts? DAVE
  9. I personally think that changing the hull is great if they want to improve the functionality of a boat and what it's purpose is. However, all of this flashy stuff that obviously drives the cost of the boat, or anything that is not needed for the serious skier should be deleted.....Or at least have the option. No normal person like myself, or anyone getting into the sport will ever be able to afford a new boat or a Nautique for that matter. So if they change the design good for them, maybe I can buy one 10-15 years from now when I can afford it. Love the new boats, but unreachable for me;( sorry for the rant, ski on boys and girls!
  10. I still have the old style 6.5ng as well. Have to use magnets, and all setting have to be accurate for initial setup. Mine you actually have to run 34 to run 32mph, and 36 to run 34mph. Unfortunately the old style PP systems will never be that accurate, but you just have to keep dialing them to get the correct settings. May be time to upgrade to SG with a Zbox!
  11. @ESPNSkier I have found if the crew weight is not entered correct it drastically changes the pull and speed. Either way PP tends to surge or have a different pull either way. Are you running SG or standard NG? Z box or not?
  12. @oldmanskier I keep a slide in camper outside all winter and just blow it out with air.... same style tanks and it is fine. Should be sufficient for sure. Boat stays in my heated garage, well when I turn it on;) good luck!
  13. Don't winterize it and keep your boat in a heated garage where it should be:)
  14. @Jaypro If you are lucky like I was I found a 2010 mastercraft Prostar seat on SIA. Like new and it was $100..... even though I paid $100 to ship it it was worth it!
  15. That was an awesome event! I even saw myself on the video which was cool too ha ha! Bring it back next year!
  16. @lpskier I hear ya there. My wife runs her Beachbody business of FB also.@Horton Should do it on here, great way to stay in ski shape!
  17. So I got off of Facebook quite a few years back, and now I find myself on Ball of Spray as much as my wife is on FB. It is an awesome resource for ballers to socialize and a great place for news, going skiing, and all things epic! (Without the BS that comes with that website) Thanks just thought I would share how much I like this site.
  18. Great idea as long as they get quality engine guys!
  19. Rockstar, Advil, and any water balloon maker that keeps my kids occupied on the dock (at least when my 5 year old isn't trying to steal my ski time....Maybe that's ok:)
  20. @Horton guess we are all in suspense! You will probably know before us!
  21. I am 6'3" and 205 and ski on a 69". Feels big at times and looking to downsize this next season to try it out. By no means is it difficult to run a course, but feels a little slower and turning takes a little more effort. Wish they would make skis a little bit more affordable.
  22. I am still curious if there will be an open bow model available.
  23. Still looks like a mini AXIS. Is a great looking boat though.
  24. I love SIA, but yes that particular dealer (not gonna say names) is getting quite annoying.
