  1. So, according to waterskimag in 2001, Wade Cox ran 2.5@43 in practice and Jeff Rodgers ran 4@43 in practice (assumed at 36 mph since these are their "best" practice performances). Funny how I find these after I ask a question...?
  2. Chris Rossi said he clipped 2 ball at 43 off on his first attempt ever. He also says he (believes he) can run it. This is from an ask-anything interview I found.
  3. Howdy, I was taught to ski the course by Johnny Ware, who is the record holder (as far as I know) for INT League Wide Ride. In fact, the majority of skiers I know face-to-face are Wide Ride. The speed for this division is 30 mph, and his record is 1@41 off (there is a video on YouTube of 2@41 off in practice). So, that being said, are their any 30 mph skiers out there who can surpass this, or has that record already been officially broken? Also, have any 36 mph skiers slowed down during practice (to 30 mph or around that), and how much farther could you go at a lower speed (just out of curiosity)? Anybody take a crack at really short lines like this?
  4. I know long links aren't liked here but I don't know how to shorten it.
  5. Did some more digging... Andy mentioned in an old ask-anything interview that his practice PB at 36 mph was either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 at 43 off (got around 3 ball).
  6. Well, maybe not... I am most affected on the day of skiing but calm down some after that. Maybe it has something to do with adrenaline. I tell myself this so perhaps I could convince my parents that I'm not TOO crazy.
  7. @ozski, I watched that video (36 mph?); Andy was really impressive! Thanks for the quick replies! (meant for this to be in the first comment but it got split up?)
  8. @Than_Bogan, I don't consider your reply at all off topic. It goes to show just how difficult it must be to run really short links like that. @Horton, I thought that must be the case because I haven't found practice scores anywhere on the web
  9. I live a few minutes from a nice course on a public lake. When I first started, I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to go ski again the next day! I was that obsessed with it. Now, I have realized that I need to "roll with the flow" and not concentrate so much on just skiing. When I get a set in (always in the morning), I am happy and have a great day afterwards. If I don't, then that is OK, too.
  10. Howdy, I know the official tournament record is 2.5@43 off. However, I was wondering how deep the pros have run into this pass during unofficial practice? If pros could offer some input, I would appreciate it, as well as any rumors that fellow "Ball (OfSpray) ers" have heard. Also, has anyone shortened to 43 off in practice for fun, and what did you score (I ski 15 off, but I reckon I could get the gates)? To start it off, I read an online interview on Nate Smith and found out that he has run 4@43 off at 34 mph. This is my first post, so thank you for any input!
