  1. @motoxr good point on the J-Craft! it was the best surprise ever last year! @horton started a thread about outboards a little while back and the first thing i thought was was the new"ish" J-Craft.

@swc5150 well that gives me a little more hope now. When is your guys boat show? I have always been a fan ( although have MC) but i still haven't seen the new design in person :(

  2. @The_MS cool find. Looks like the cars com ein off 51 and they launch part way up on the right hand side. Bar off to the right in line with where i think they launch; might have a boat in there.

Again cool find; and would like to know also. Family has a place in St.Petes but my uncles place is 30 min drive.

  3. @Rednucleus i received a similar response a couple years ago. Really wanted to see the new design a couple years ago in person. I always believed Malibu's were the best valued 3 event ski boat out here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed ( but not holding my breathe) i will see one next week! :)
  4. @BraceMaker broken system....the surrounding provinces wont do anything if you call. They will say contact your local police and file a report. So you file your report and the police mark it as stolen. The problem is Quebec doesn't share info with any other province. like the rest do ( with some exceptions). I QC has its own set of rules so to speak.

I work on the stock exchange in Toronto and even there QC residents are held to a different set of rules then the rest of the Country...weird,I know.

Yes, we have one of these a year ( that we know of) where multiple ski / wakeboard boats get stolen. Usually off season as most of our skiing areas are seasonal and semi remote. These two incidents happened about 2000miles apart but none the less in the great white north :disappointed:

The one in Edmonton was caught on film....Any know if this one was caught on security cam at all?

  5. @BrennanKMN on the contrary. boats in QC are ghosts to the rest of the world. those boats will end up in one of three places. Ontario ( best odds), SK ( second) or they may try and get them across of the northeast crossings at some point. We have a bunch of un-controlled crossings as you may or may not know. My guess is they are in a warehouse not too far away until the time is right.

What i mean by ghosts is that QC doesn't share registration info with any other province / database. It makes stealing a very lucrative and semi easy market for cars boats and bikes to be stolen and shipped between the Toronto/ Hamilton and Montreal/ Quebec City corridor in particular. You could steal a boat in QC that is reported stolen and register in Ontario the next day.

We had a neighbor in Muskoka by a used SVfara DD a couple years back from a pretty semi-decent Marina / Dealer. It was a trade in to a new Moomba which went back to QC and the boat the traded was found by the owner on their website a few months later; after the boat was already sold!! Otherwise wouldn't have been caught. It was reported stolen in QC but the thieves were smart enough to leave QC with it.

    We clearly have issues!!!

  6. Toronto Boat show in t-9 days. Best boat show north of the boarder on for 10 days! :) Always 1 MC Prostar. 2 Ski Nautiques but Malibu Response has been missing for the past few years minimum; which i miss. Cant wait though.
  7. @BrennanKMN as of last year you were right.

But J-Craft made a come back last year at the Toronto Boat Show ( 4 weeks away now) and sold out. Almost no real style change but some minor improvements from what i was told. They look amazing and as most of us know; are super fun to drive and be behind.

Also; It's not a prostar but MC does offer a outboard option on the NXT 20 i believe; or atleast they did/. A gentleman on our lake has one ( i think its 2017)
