  1. Thank you all, I am all set for a ski. I appreciate all offers. I apologize for the late response.
  2. Looking for a 66 Goode Wide Ride. I’m 215lbs and 6’6”. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Evan
  3. Can you talk "sweet spot"? I have read a lot about it but but would love to hear from a ski engineer. Each ski is different so how does one find the exact center to utilize all of it. Also, I am 6'6" 215 lbs with XXL bindings on a 69"... does a skier's size diminish, maximize, or change the sweet spot? Thank you!
  4. I just bought/received it from a fellow BOSer. There has been so much dialogue it can’t be ignored. @twhisper said it, there is always something positive to pull from Mike.... plus now that it’s the dead of winter I have something to get me through until March and my time at Liquid Zone.
  5. I’m looking forward to my time with Terry... and now that pandoras box has been opened I think I will go to TW with fresh eyes having not seen the film - per @Horton and @Gloersen
  6. And great stuff @Horton... now I am even more intrigued.
  7. I was thumbing through the August/September 2008 issue of Waterski Mag and there is an add for it. I looked for it online but no dice I.E. Amazon, eBay but no go. Terry will be coaching me in March and I thought it would be great to watch preemptively. I’ll reach out to those guys...
  8. I concur.. my Camaro fits snug when dry but does expand considerably. My large is just right if not a little lose after some time in the water... I am 6'6" 210lbs.
  9. Thanks guys! I have Mr. Winter's... and I am going to call this afternoon. I would take Tevin's if you are so inclined. Appreciate the assistance!! E
  10. I will be in Boise on July 20th and was hoping to hire a coach for the evening at one of the local lakes or Broadside Harbor... One-on-one slalom. Anyone have a contact or interest? Thank you Evan
  11. Ingrid is the epitome of a lake dog.
  12. I concur!!! And well put Deep11. I just started reading it... some pages twice, carful to not miss a thing, so I can absorb as much as possible by spring. My friend and I had a fin debate the other night as he is a set-it-and-forget-it guy. I have sent him the link to buy the book. It is a must read to satisfy the curiosity and unknowns of the fin but also, as Deep11 pointed out, to connect form and function, history and purpose, and further our obbssesion with this ever challenging sport.
  13. Ask your friends, tell your family, if they have a '68 X7 I will buy it. Thank you!
  14. Just bought the T-factor and RTP through D3 (took advantage of the sale). BTW Great people there at D3 and Kari is always so helpful. My plan- to keep an eye out for a '68 X7 this winter/spring. If one doesn't appear by go time I will give the Arc the nod. Either way I have the bindings to slap on either or at the very least.
  15. One step ahead of you there Gregy. Asked last month and no go on X7s at D3. I have a wtb post on ski-it-again. There is a fusion on there I'm keen on but I'm not sure how far I wanted to deviate from my research.
  16. Mark_matis - I have the D3 site at the ready. Getting T-Factors regardless. gregy-Aupatking. I wish I had the luxury to ski the x7. Do you have a '68? All - I appreciate the enthusiasm and input. Love talking waterskiing in November. Keeps the energy alive during the winter. -
  17. And Gregy, you bring up a good point.... The Mapple 6.0... There so many options. If I am going to spend north of $1700 for a full set up I want to grow with it for many seasons. I would keep the senate but I want to set lower in the water... a '68 is where I feel I need to be.
  18. Additionally, the bevels on the senate are huge. I want more control once I get locked in.
  19. I saw that sale.... I am tempted... As much as I would like to demo everything, I don't always have that luxury in the PNW. Bruce_butterfild, I have a wanted add for an X7. If I dont find one, I may just bite the bullet on the Arc....
  20. TallSkinnyGuy, I thought the same thing about the senate. I feel the strain in rolling it over. It is a wide body and I am going to address that with fin placement/adjustment... that is if I don't find a replacement in the meantime. I know much of this is form but I dont think the '69 and floatieness is helping me really dig in.
  21. Im a bigger guy (215lbs 6'6) that is trying like mad to better my technique. I feel I may be inhibited on my '69 Radar Carbon Senate. I have been looking strongly at the X7, Quest, Fusion, and Arc. From what I have read, I like the characteristics of the X7 but all pros are pointing to the ARC. I have researched each D3 in between the two... I'm an intermediate free skier that hits it 40ish days a year. Just starting to dip into the course. I feel siting deeper in the water behooves my confidence. At the end of this season I demoed the ARC but October was so awful in terms of weather I wasn't able to put it to the test. Any suggestions?
