    @bouyhead69 sounds like your quest 45 has seen better days, and congrats on your skiing! It's so sweet when you finally get through 28s, and start moving into 32. You have earned a new ski, in my opinion. Or, at least, demo a couple in the spring. Maybe you will find one that works amazing for you.

Frowned upon to support one old lady hand making ropes in the USA vs large company's that mass produce in china? Mmmmm? I guess I understand what your saying. If it means anything, I have a radar rope, Goode powershells, and numerous orders from Perfski. I had a mastercraft, ooops.

    I'm getting shipped the 525 next. I'll test next weekend. I have tried an oj 330 and was told the acme 525 is very similar. 653 is better than oj 330 unless some more engine break in brings more horse power. I have 36 hrs on her now.

    2017 txi ob 4000' Tested acme 653 over the weekend. It has the best hole shot, with wot around 5100-5200 41.2 mph. 2nd best tested-- oj 330 ski pro, wot 4800-4900 42 mph

    I have been prop testing. I am at about 5000' elevation. 2017 txi 6L. Acme 515-- slow sluggish out of hole and lags around island at wot. Acme 1231-- good hole shot, rpms way too high. Just tried OJ 330. Best prop so far. I am testing acme 653 and 525 this weekend.

    I park my response txi(direct drive) in about 30" of water with no trouble. If you have wake board boats or anything creating large wakes next to your dock you might need more water. 4.5 feet..... no problem

    2017 txi is really great. It tracks really well, has more room than previous model. I have a 13 txi,15 txi, 13 200, and 17 txi on lake. 17txi is closest to tracking and skiing of 200. I like both 200 and 17 txi. At the end of day, I enjoy skiing behind all of them. Heck, on some days I ski best behind a 2009 196.
