  1. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Real_Estate&postid=65835 Curious if anyone here is knowledgeable about this Lake and surrounding area? Are there any water issues for keeping the lake full? Do people ski year round here? Is there good / fast internet? Anything else important someone might like to know? Thanks in advance
  2. Curious how many here perform all their own service / maintenance versus paying a dealer / shop for everything and what the annual costs are with one compared to the other on average?
  3. Had the opportunity to ski today here in Ft Collins Colorado behind a Candela with no wake....cool experience
  4. We get an awesome surf wave with our 2000 SS LXI and with the custom ballast system I installed it's only 10 minute set up time
  5. I built a new platform for my 2000 Malibu SS LXI with the Plantation Teak....cost me $350 delivered to my door. The Burmese Teak would have cost me around $1800 at local hardwood store...no brainer
  6. Is that the Plantation teak combined with Mahogany for the swim platform?
  7. try something like this https://www.dynamat.com/products/dynaliner/

  10. sounds good and best of luck to you
  11. I live in Ft Collins, we have many small reservoirs that sell memberships but extremely long waiting lists to get on and typically range between 3-5k a season. Some have courses and some do not. Laku Landing is a world class ski site, here is their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LakuLanding/ There are some nice private lakes with courses to buy a home on if you can afford it, Horseshoe lake, Donath lake, etc. we have a couple public lakes (no course) but the only one worth skiing is Horsetooth reservoir and because it's so over crowded here now the only good water is weekday mornings between 6:30 to 9am. Horsetooth is a beautiful lake to ski when it's not crowded and the wind is not blowing. Timnath reservoir is not bad but you have to live in the town of Timnath to get a membership now. We have a group of 6-7 guys (age range from 35 to 74) with 5 DD boats between us, we ski Horsetooth weekday mornings and you are welcome to join our group anytime if you end up here. Let me know if you have any questions, I have been living / skiing here for over 30 years now.

    Boat loan

    Boatloan.com of course...wink
  13. And if the pump is not reversing then need to determine if the pump itself is bad or if it’s in the wiring connection or display that tells the pump to reverse and spin the impeller the opposite way If you don’t have one reversible pump then there would be 2 aerator pumps the each run a different direction, with a 2015 boat I would assume it a single reversible pump
  14. If you only have one pump it would be a reversible pump and would pump the water out back into the lake where it came in from. The water coming out the thru hull fitting would be from the overflow when the tank is full as others have mentioned I would suggest to fill the to fill the tank, shut it off and load the boat on the trailer, once your on the ramp the turn your empty switch on and see if the water is pumping out from the thru hull fitting on the bottom of the hull. If it is then all should be fine. If you don’t see any water pumping out then it’s possible that the pump is not reversing and the tank won’t empty, hence , when your in the lake and turn on your ballast switch and water instantly starts to come out the overflow is because your tank is full since it never pumped the water out Hope this makes sense
  15. yes but I believe the sslxi was 325 hp (my 2000 is) and the 2004 model was upgraded to 340hp. There are some out there that also got the 365hp Hammer Head option Either way, they are all 5.7L GM Vortec engine blocks
  16. I appreciate all the input from you guys, the d3 sounds like the ski I am leaning towards and will order one for a demo and if it feels good to me I will keep it. I assume Radar bindings will work on this ski? Thinking about ordering the 22 vapor as well
  17. @SevernRat The block is the GM vortec, Indmar is the company that converts it to be used in a marine enviroment, and then it is given a name like "325 Monsoon" Supra and Moomba boats get the same Vortec engine from Indmar and they call it the "325 Assault"
  18. @SevernRat I like your idea for the teak platform to replace the center seat section, only downside is the price of Burmese Teak now. I planned to build a new teak swim deck for mine and just the teak was going to cost almost 2k...crazy I ended up using "plantation teak" instead and that cost me $330 so a huge difference, it's doesn't have all the same characteristics as the real teak but should work fine if the boat doesn't sit in the water all day, year after year. I have some left over that might be just enough to make that step. If your patient enough and keep your eyes peeled you will find a nice one, and if you ever want any advice on setting it up to surf then hit me up.
  19. @Jaypro thanks, appreciate that input, I am in Colorado and probably can't get down there anytime soon but sure wish I could
  20. @SevernRat....curious what specifically do you like on the 2002-04 years verses the 99-01 model years? The 04's got the 340 monsoon which is an upgrade over the 325hp but not a night and day difference as long as your propped correctly. 2000 and up got the 3 piece back seat which I like over the one piece that the 99 had 2001 got upgraded dash with rocker switches I'm sure there are a few other small changes with the newer model years but all years will perform equally well as far as wake characteristics, handling, etc.
  21. I am skiing on a 2018 67 Radar Senate Lithium for the past couple years and thinking about a new ski this year. Has anyone here skied both the Senate pro and the NRG R2 and can give a good comparison to each other? or is there a reason that these 2 skis should not even be compared to each other? Also curious what differences / benefits might I feel in either of these compared to my Senate Lithium? Appreciate any input...thanks
  22. I personally don't think the X7 is comparable to the SS LXI, almost any boat is "surfable" if you add enough weight to it, but you don't want to be in a boat that needs so much weight to get the push that it is easily swamped or feels unsafe. Especially if you are on public waters and there are many other real surf boats creating huge swells everywhere (will depend on your lake situation) The SS LXI is bigger and roomier than the X7, has more storage and a better wake as far as my experience. There are 2 for sale just listed on SIA in the 25k range which is average price for these boats. Leaves you plenty of money to add whatever add-ons you might want and customize it to your personal needs. Being of limited supply is what will always keep the value of these boats up, especially if you have a nice one with all the bells and whistles.
