  1. Slalom wake at 34 mph and surf wave 10mph on my 2000 SS LXI
  2. 99-04 Sunsetter LXI with tower, wedge and ballast (will need about 1500-1800 lbs. of ballast in the right places (depends how many peeps you have in the boat) plus wedge to surf...don't bother looking at anything else. I built in a custom 3 pump system with custom bag that is ready to surf in 12 min set up time Slalom wake is excellent and wakeboard wake is really nice when set up properly with combo of wedge and ballast https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=62663 https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=62680
  3. @ReallyGottaSki , no problem, just contact me on SIA down the road if your interested and I still have it, I am also plenty negotiable on it to any Ballers that are interested. Also willing to build a new custom platform for anyone that needs one, the Plantation Teak is much more affordable than the Burmese Teak, it's not as rot resistant or does it have the same anti slip texture but if your boat is covered anytime it's not in use and you keep it oiled more often then it should still last for many years. It's commonly used for outdoor decks and furniture. Has a lot of nice character as well in my opinion.
  4. @MDB1056 The trap door is access to put the wedge up and down and the handle holds make it much easier to climb back on the platform when your old.
  5. @ReallyGottaSki How's your swim platform? I have one for sale from my 2000 Malibu Sunsetter LXI https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Parts_Boat&postid=62577 I made a new one for my boat that is a bit deeper and a different design with handles, I used Plantation Teak because the Burmese Teak is so expensive (would cost around 2k to buy the raw lumber)

  8. You can get an awesome surf wave from this boat if you set it up right, and the slalom wake is super nice for this size of a boat, here is a pic from my 2000 SS LXI that I built in a custom ballast system and set up 1800 lbs and wedge in 10 minutes......there is no better boat that does one extreme to the other so well....slalom / surf and anything in between
  9. I told them I wanted the red one so my wife wouldn't notice I got a new one.......Now what?
  10. Thanks for all the feedback, most responses fall in line with my first thoughts and about what I expected, although because of it's uniqueness you really can't compare it to boats and wave runners imo. It will be a different clientele that will purchase these things and all the others might spend a little bit to rent one now and then if it is put in front of you. There will be cheaper versions from Japan, China, etc. that will be coming to market in the 4-5-6k range in the near future. They will not be of the same quality but it will at some point drive the price down from these guys. It is a very unique feeling to "fly" one of these things but I asked myself...would I get this mastered fairly quickly and get board with no further challenge or progression? But then I thought about riding my snowboard, making big surf style carves, floating thru the trees in silence on a 12" powder day, I have that mastered and it is a unique feeling unlike anything else. I can't imaging ever giving this up because there is not much more challenge or progression. I think there will be buyers once people have had the opportunity to "fly" one
  11. There are only 2 companies in production as of now (more are coming) ...Lift boards made in Puerto Rico = 12k and Flite boards built in Australia = 13k It should theoretically be able to be used for recreation on any lake that is no wake - electric only ? They are expensive but look at what people are willing to pay for new wakesurf boats these days 150-200k, people will buy in my opinion (which is why I am becoming a dealer and why I am posting on here to get some feedback.....thanks in advance for all opinions
  12. I would like to see someone form a relationship with Dodge to to marinize their Hemi engine out of the Hellcat Redeye ....Might be overkill for a Response or Nautique 200 but sure would be fun to drive :)
  13. Another good choice Royal Purple HPS 20W-50 Synthetic Motor Oil Royal Purple HPS Series motor oil is specifically formulated to maximize performance and meet the demands of high performance and modified engines. HPS is high performance street motor oil recommended for vehicles no longer under manufacturer warranty and for those seeking a higher level of performance and protection. Royal Purple’s HPS is fortified with a high level of zinc/phosphorus anti-wear additive and Royal Purple’s proprietary Synerlec additive technology. This unique blend enables HPS to outperform leading high performance synthetic oils and conventional lubricants for both gasoline and diesel engines. Royal Purple HPS Series of motor oil responds to increased pressure with increased viscosity. Improved sealing between the piston ring and cylinder wall maximizes horsepower and torque. Its advanced additive technologies improve the condition of metal-to-metal contact under severe load. The advantages are clear. Take a look at the following photos: HPS Advantages Exceptionally high film strength dramatically reduces engine wear and engine heat to extend the life of your engine. Improved sealing between the piston ring and cylinder wall maximizes horsepower and torque and optimizes fuel economy. Exceptional oxidation stability extends oil life and allows for more miles driven between oil changes saving you time and money and reducing the impact on the environment. Advanced synthetic solvency reduces engine deposits and keeps engines clean for increased fuel economy and engine longevity. HPS protects valve trains using roller or flat tappet lifters that require added protection due to high lift/ high ramp rate camshafts. It also provides maximum protection, extends engine life and ramps up efficiency. For vehicles under warranty, Royal Purple recommends its API-licensed oils available at retailers nationwide.
  14. Our 99 Sport can create an awesome surf wake as well as a very decent slalom wake at 34mph, not many boats that can go from one extreme to the other this well
  15. Yes, the 99-04 Sunsetter LXI is supposed to be the best all around boat in this category. When I bought mine I researched both the best I could and decided I could get more for my money with the Sport Nautique. I think a comparable Sunsetter to the 01 your looking at on SIA will cost you 4-5 K more. We love our 99 and I can't imagine the Sunsetter being that much better for the money. Ours has the factory tower and ballast and really works well for everything. If you have the opportunity to demo that boat I think it is definitely worth your time. These boats are built well and very solid, the GT-40 is a great engine as well I recommend determining what options you want on your boat and what total cost will be in the end to set it up that way. Tower, racks, tower bimini, perfect pass, heater, travel cover etc. You could easily spend 6-8k adding all these to a boat or you can look for one that is set up the way you want it. The one on SIA looks like a very nice boat and if you don't need all the extras and could buy it for 15k I think it is a great value, even if you add a bunch of these options over time and keep the boat long term then it is still a good value imho
  16. I have a 99 Sport nautique with factory tower which I believe is the same hull as the 01, The slalom wake at 32-34 is actually very nice.....it's fairly small at 15' off and very soft. We also wakeboard and surf behind ours, I don't think you would be disappointed at all but that might also depend on what your used to skiing behind and what line length and speed
  17. Also, would the 99 Sport Nautique hull be based off the TSC 1 ?
  18. Opinions on which of these 3 hull designs will have the best slalom wake at 15-28 off, 34 mph?
  19. Myself and 2 other buddies from Ft Collins CO (maybe more if enough open slots) would like to get signed up for Thursday if there is still room?, have left a couple phone messages for Jarrus....
