  1. Anyone on here have a left foot, size 11, possibly a 10, older Radar binding they want to sell/get rid of? I use it as a rear and mine is about to give up the ghost. By older I mean the Vapor pre "hardsell" type. I have tried looking around some with no luck. And have tried going to a rear toe. And tried SIA......

  2. Just my thoughts here... probably won't amount to a hill of beans. 6ft 3 in, 205 lbs, ski 34 mph getting into 38 a little deeper on a good day.. 3-4 buoys. Tried different settings today and last time out without being told what they were. Mainly settling around B2 and C2.  Stiff head wind and tail wind today also. Skied my normal 28-32-35 and 3 and 4 @ 38. Wasn't told what they were and changed on every other pass roughly. Couldn't tell a difference. My question is at the line lengths I'm at, and most skiers, do you think the settings really matter? I really can't tell much of a difference so does it become more critical for the 38 and beyond skiers? Has anyone else tried doing something like this?

  3. I love the Stokes vest as well. The only complaint I have with it is if you take a hard fall, the floatation can wad up in its individual chambers and its hard to work it back out. Other than that its an excellent vest.

  4. @Horton I have to agree. This sport is tough. Very tough. It's not something you're going to understand and then go apply on the water, especially if you are self taught or just train with your buddies. You have to study this sport, have access to being able to ski consistently, get good training advice but especially by those who know what they are talking about and how to convey it to the student in a way they can understand it. I've learned so much more about slalom over the years but going out and applying it on the water is HARD. Especially after skiing with so many bad habits that become an automatic "go to" when you get in trouble at your shorter lines. Some days it feels easy and others nothing feels right. I do wonder if most skiers feel some improvement from year to year. I run a few more 35s than I had the previous seasons and see a little progression at 38 from time to time. Overall this sport is so addicting and fun yet frustrating at times. It's what keeps us coming back again and again.

There's a reason why the pros are the pros and we're..... not. Much respect to those men and women!!

  5. A buddy of mine has a young teenager on a used Goode with a carbon core and an insert has come out. Anyone have any suggestions for putting it back in? My concern is the carbon holding if its epoxied or going to another size insert. Thanks for the help

  6. Even better, he's a real nice young man. Got to know him and his family at last years Masters at Callaway. Really enjoyed meeting them and his skiing has gone to the next level. Can't wait to see him give some pros a run for their money. Congrats Lucas!!

  7. My knees started aching years ago to the point I didn't want to bend down to pick something up. I started following kneesovertoes on InstaGram. He has some pretty good, simple exercises that have really helped mine out and they definitely feel much better. Just throwing it out there. Give it a shot.

  8. It also helps to have a skier willing to run some passes behind a new driver to give them a feel for the pull a skier can put on a boat and where in the course. They have to learn sometime and getting them behind the wheel as much as possible is the best way to do it. I've been able to run my normal passes right up through my hardest behind just about every new driver we have ever worked with. (mid 35)  I know that driving comes into play alot more at 35 and shorter.

  9. ok @Hortontesting or trying anything out from the east coast area of South Carolina? Hoping so!

Also hoping Ms. Nicholson will complete the 39  pass this year. She's been getting halfway down it fairly consistent. I do believe more women will run it this year. The ladies put up a lot of great scores last year.

I believe Ross and Howley will run 41 also. Still betting on Caldwell also!!

    Come on ski season!!!!!!

  10. @twhisperI agree watching slalom videos definitely helps. I study various skiers as much as I can and from as many different angles as possible. Watching from just the pylon will not tell the whole story. And ski/lean angle looks totally different from another viewpoint. The skier is moving so quick it also really helps to slow the videos down and pause them to study over. I have learned alot from watching videos and look forward to my next set in order to practice something else I have noticed.

Funny story about Jason P. I was lucky enough to be in the boat while he skied for exhibition at the INT Nationals in Bakersfield several years ago. He handed me his rope and I asked him if he wanted to start at 15? (I knew who he was. I was just messing with him) He gave me a real funny look and just smiled at me. His driver was quick to say  "No he'll start at 32. He's a pro". I thought it was funny

  11. Thx for the replies and suggestions. I was advised to contact Skip Dunlap regarding the manifolds (sorry I said heads earlier) and  I believe he has me on the right track. Trying to get this taken care of for a buddy before spring gets here.
