  2. Hey Baller´s I am not sure all of you have heard about this “annual trip” I have created? It is called “Waterski ITALY tour” it is kind of a “Giro d´ITALIA” but on water skis. It is not a competition but a guided tour during 14 day´s (15 night´s) from the northeast of ITALY towards the west and then all the way south to Napoli. It all happens between sept 22nd and oct 7th 2019. During the 14 day´s we will ski the 10 best and most beautiful waterski lakes of ITALY and we will eat great Italian food at places which you would probably not end up at if being a regular tourist. As a matter of fact it was suggested that I name the tour “Waterski & Eat ITALY tour” You don´t have to be a Pro water skier to partake. This is for anyone who loves the sport of waterskiing and have a desire to experience what some of the previous participants has called the tour “the ultimate waterski vacation” or “a waterski trip of a lifetime” In 1991 I came to ITALY to work as a Waterski coach and since then I have competed, traveled, shoot photo´s all over ITALY. Now I want to share all of what I have experienced and so in 2017 I decided to create “Waterski ITALY tour” The tour has 8 exclusive spot´s available and I hear by invite all of you ballers to join me on the “2019 Waterski ITALY tour” Below is a link to the event which I have created on FaceBook and also links to photo´s from previous years tour. Event on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/373562686572406/ Photo´s from the 2017 tour https://www.facebook.com/pg/waterskiitaly/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10155888954748175 Photo´s from the 2018 tour https://www.facebook.com/pg/waterskiitaly/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10156002594708175 For more in depth information about the “2019 Waterski ITALY tour” or if you would like to get on the mailing list please contact me directly at: info@waterskiitaly.com Thomas Gustafson

Pine Mountain, GA (May 24, 2019) – The 60th Nautique Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament® presented by GM Marine Engine Technology officially started today at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The Ski Nautique and Super Air Nautique G23 made their weekend debut on Robin Lake as the best junior waterski and wakeboard athletes claimed titles during the 27th Junior Masters. These athletes with disabilities were an incredible addition to the action today and three more will join them this weekend for more inspiring action. The GM Marine Engine Technology powered Ski Nautique started the day pulling Felipe Franco Belmont (PER) and Kennedy Hansen (USA) to Junior Masters titles in the Junior Men's and Junior Women's trick ski disciplines. The Ski Nautique then pulled Pol Duplan-Fribourg (FRA) during the Junior Men’s Jump to a distance of 180 feet (54.8m) to win the Junior Men's Jump discipline. After the smoke cleared, it was Kennedy Hansen taking the Overall Junior Women Masters title. A couple podium finishes in the Trick and Jump disciplines, Kennedy had an incredible day of skiing to earn the victory. On the Junior Men’s front, Tobias Giorgis (ARG) took the overall win to stake his claim as the 27th overall Junior Masters champion. The Super Air Nautique G23 set up perfect wakes for the Junior Women’s Wakeboard riders, and after it was all said and done Mackenzie McCarthy took home her first Junior Masters title. On the Junior Men’s Wakeboard side of things, it was Fynn Bullock taking the win after laying down two perfect passes behind the 6-time Wakeboard Boat of the Year to celebrate his 2019 Junior Masters title. 11. To really live Life, you’ve gotta put yourself in situations that give you that feeling. We all know the feeling….its equal parts adrenaline, fear and excitement….wrapped up in a tortilla of being completely present. So present, in fact, that for those few fleeting moments, nothing else matters…the rest of the world melts away, and you’re completely free to be the purest expression of what it means to be You. That is the FlowPoint. Now, to achieve that, you’ve gotta have the right toys. In our case, we’re talking about the best water sports products money can buy. To create the best possible products, you have to have passion. Without it, you lose your way pretty quickly, and can never sustain the curiosity needed to create breakthrough after breakthrough, year after year. There’s a small team of people in the Pacific NorthWest, that have dedicated their lives to designing and creating the best water sports products on Earth. This story is their story….and its just the first half of a two-part series on what makes HO Sports the brand that everyone’s chasing.

  14. Interesting changes below. For all the details see http://nautiquebigdawg.com/2019-rules-and-regulations/ Head-to-Head Seeds 1-8 will be based upon best single score from any of the qualifying rounds. Ties will be broken by using skiers score from second round of qualifying (e.g. back-up score from skiing in the qualifying event). If a tie still exists, the initial seeding placement from that event will be used. Head-to-Head Seeds 9-24 will be based upon cumulative score of both qualifying rounds. In the case of a tie on cumulative score, ties will be broken using the skier’s best score from qualifying rounds. If a tie exists for any spot other than 24th, second-level ties will be broken using the skier’s USA Water Ski National Rankings List score or equivalent IWWF average (non-US skiers). If a tie for the 24th spot exists after the first- level tiebreak criteria (e.g. best score from qualifying rounds), a run-off will be held to determine the 24th slot. If run-off consists of multiple skiers, the skiing order will be determined by the running order at the time of the tournament start. 25th place and below will be based upon best single score from any of the qualifying rounds. Ties will be broken by using skiers score from second round of qualifying, unless first round scores are only available scores. (E.g. back-up score from skiing in the qualifying event). If a tie still exists, the initial seeding placement from that event will be used. NEW FOR 2019: Skiers that qualify for Seeds 9-24 will meet in a NEW single round Head-to-Head called the Last Chance Round (LCR). The LCR will be run after Qualifying and before the Sweet 16 and will be scheduled by the LOC. Winners of the LCR brackets will determine Seeds 9-16 in the Sweet 16 Final Bracket. Officials and Boat Order: Officiating crews will be split into two boats (Boat 1 and Boat 2). Designation of Boat 1 and Boat 2 will be chosen by the chief driver and will not change during the event (e.g. the same two drivers will pull the head-to-head.). The boats will rotate which crew takes the skier off the dock in the head-to-head pairing in accordance with the following:

  18. ===>>>>Click here for the podcast<<<=== A farm in rural Canada doesn’t exactly seem like the perfect breeding ground for a world class water skier (or two!). But a lot of digging, water, and a cow pasture would become a man-made lake large enough for a speed boat, skis, and the start of a legendary career for Ryan Dodd. At age 10, he began skiing recreationally with his father and grandfather in the water reserve that they kept for their cattle and it quickly became clear that he had the talent to excel. Growing up in a family with a very successful horse-trainer for a mother and businessman for a father, Dodd understood the value of a strong work ethic and thrived on the pressure to also make something of his career. Dodd was a rising star in his sport when a night of celebrating took a sharp turn for the worst. It was his “first and absolutely last bar fight,” and he woke up not recalling exactly what had happened. Thinking he was just a bit beaten up, Ryan got on a plane and flew home. Upon landing, however, he realized that his injuries were far worse than he had originally believed. Upon rushing him to the ER, doctors discovered that he had a skull fracture and bleeding in three places in his brain — an injury so severe that he was lucky to be alive after not seeking immediate medical attention. He stayed at the hospital until the bleeding stopped and narrowing avoided surgery, but the road to recovery would be long. Dodd was required to lay flat in the dark for three months to allow his brain to fully heal. He wasn’t allowed to go outside, have caffeine, read, look at screens, or do anything that got his heart rate up. And most definitely not water ski. Ryan shares, “it was definitely the most life-changing experience that I would never have asked for.” The months in the dark forced him to make drastic changes not only in his physical health, but also in his mindset towards himself. He had to overhaul his nutrition and sleep patterns in order to recover. No more caffeine, sugar, alcohol, staying out late, or sleeping in. He became more intentional with his time, giving space for reading, self-improvement, meditation, and reflection. When he was ready to take steps towards training again, he got in contact with a sports psychologist and a performance coach to help him stay holistically healthy. Finally, eight months after his injury, Dodd strapped on his skis for his first competition and scored a personal best. That milestone was followed shortly after by a first place victory at the the US Masters and a world title. During his recovery, Ryan read a book that encouraged him to “turn obstacles into opportunities.” He used to view defeat or challenges as negative experiences, rather than moments to evaluate and grow. This shift in his mindset enabled him to take his recovery day by day, and has marked his career ever since. He learned that focusing on doing his best would always take him further than dwelling on the next big win. Performance goals remain important, but he has found that small, attainable goals in all areas of life are actually more rewarding and motivating. Although he’s back to skiing professionally, he shares that he is dreaming bigger than just gold medals and championships – he wants to help evolve the sport, encourage others, and mentor younger athletes. He currently trains with his dad, who has was titles in the Over 55 water skiing circuit himself, and looks forward to bettering himself at each competition in the coming year.
