  1. that puts it to bed for sure. If judged from the stream I would stand by my first thoughts. but look what more pixels and perspective difference can do. would be interesting to see the in boat footage.
  2. Frame hasnt been modified. I can replicate if fine and I do this for a living and it looks like artifacating. I think the reality is its: artifacating from the crapping camera + low res stream to 720p + compression + highly saturated orange ball being passes by a fast black object with virtually on information to work with = it simply cant keep up and those pixels showing the ball are munted. If I'm wrong......whatever. I will say this as an interesting observation for the conspiracy theorists: In Nates pre-turn as hes approaching he typically does a fairly early headturn across course basically at the very initiation of the turn sometimes earlier. He does this pretty late on 1 ball. As he approaches 2 ball he seems to be looking down and to his left which does look is odd when you pause it. You could imply he skiied over it. But again I think its all just due to the speed. Guess you should just ask the boat judge.
  3. The Yarra really seems to put the cat amongst the pigeons for slalom thats for sure!.
  4. Yeah it literally happened in the space of one pass. Degasperi must have felt that extra load with that current!!
  5. That sucks. Sounds like Freddie just got someone having a bad day. Not sure about JT and the drain affecting the course. Looks like he had a bit of a wheelie out of 2 ball and came into 3 pretty late and fast.
  6. Slow it all down. Be patient. Ski more with my coach. Softer in the knees. Get more centered/forward. Keep a journal of every set. Keep working on strength and mobility off the water. Be a continual student of skiing.......................................................................
  7. @Wish yes mate. Watch via the Livestream stream directly and you can watch back no problem. https://livestream.com/MOOMBAMASTERS2019. Womens Slalom first then Mens Seed 1 starts 1:30mins in for todays schedule.
  8. huge bummer your not here Freddie.
  9. Bummer seeing Travers not make semis
  10. There is allot about this I don't yet understand but it still gets me excited about the future of skiing and development. keep innovating.
  11. I ski during the week if possible. Self employed also and live 1hr away from the slalom course. Hardest part is getting others during the week who can ski also cause I dont keep regular hours. That's pretty much all I need.
  12. chewing gum while skiing the course is a great way to choke or bight ya tongue off. :D
  13. Agree also. Stand up sooner. It also looks like your weight is too far back and thats why its harder to stand and your feeling a wobble. Its also keeping you in the crouched position because the ski is wanting to go out in front of you. The front of the ski is wider and more stable even though you might want to keep that weight on the back. Keep more centered and dont be afraid to push with your front foot. I'm 180 pounds and come out with my back foot out and can virtually stand up as soon as the ski gets under water pressure. I kinda lean towards the ski if that makes sense and can stand up virtually as soon as the boat moves. You'll get it.
  14. I cant seem to find anyone who carries replacement Connelly bungies. Tried Radar but they are too thick. I'm no fan of this binding and its going soon. Connelly bungies on the top of the foot almost broke on only the second use and are only just holding together. Top bungies broke after a big OTF a few skis later so I'm using a solid lace which is dodgy as hell cause I will never come out of that thing. :#
  15. Hey @oneski sorry to hear about that injury mate. If I where in your shoes I would now have only one PB goal.....a solid recovery!. As for a skiing PB that might just end up being a different "type" all together. The reality is due to your injury the goal posts have moved and the game has changed. Harness all that passion and love of skiing that you have and start playing the new game. ;)
  16. as someone who is very very new to the course this year and jumped on a Connelly V just cause I've always skied Connelly its so so good to see and hear from them about the actual whats and whys of one of their skis. Can I say EVERY ski should have something like this. Yeah there is some tech talk but at the end of the day EVERY skiier at EVERY level should be able to easily access the what and why of their ski in some actual detail other then a few paragraph blurbs on a website. Yes, make the pretty looking stuff but get into the meat as well. Well done Connelly!
  17. Jobe had the brightest skis back then lol
  18. Totally doable. Just time and dedication.
  19. Interesting theory. I'm a right handed left foot forward skiier who uses RTP and has always come out with back foot out. I can come out with both in but seems so much harder then it needs to be. Just me. Never tried it but double boot appears in my mind that it might be easier to get up on with both feet in as opposed to both in on my RTP. Hope that made sense lol.
  20. airline damage? Interesting.... Im guessing if an airline had damaged a ski enough to compromise its overall strength you would most certainly visually see something. Could only imagine "extreme" flexing of the ski or being run over could do it but surely it would leave some type of mark/evidence?
  21. @Horton agreed mate. Not wanting to go double boot so will add a Radar RTP at the same time. Possibly a hybrid. Looks interesting. Has a Connelly Sync RTP on it now but dont like it.
  22. Good call. The older I get the more checking I do..lol. had a rope break on my up near the handle right in the post-turn and for whatever reason it was the most painful thing my hands have experienced skiing. Was like getting wacked over the fingers with a steel bar!
