  1. I too have one, I saw a YouTube video about balance and this was one thing the presenter spoke about. My experience is over a two month period. The Slackblock work out is 2 minutes for each foot in three positions. Foot straight forward, foot offset (ball of foot in middle with heel hanging off the side, last is ball of foot 90 degrees to block. So far I have not been able to go the 12 minutes with out a foot touch or hand touch. They say touching does not void your learning, some pick it up faster than others. The Slackblock comes in three models based on weight, there are five round cuts in the foam that can be removed to reduce stability when you feel it is too easy. Before the Slackblock I stood on one foot while holding the opposite foot for a minute then switched to other leg for a total of 10 minutes. The Slackblock is much more difficult. I certainly feel my balance has improved and I continue to do it daily.
  2. When I skied there in 1980, you would park your car, flash your headlights in the direction of the site, someone would boat over to pick you up and take you to the site. No access by car so it was helpful if someone knew to expect you and look for your headlights. SkiGal you will learn about Hawaiian culture, don't worry, don't hurry, life moves at a slow pace over there.
  3. Thanks to all of you who made suggestions and saved me from drilling a sink hole in my ski. I am using Wiley double wrap bindings and will move my rear binding back on the plate itself, have to drill 4 holes.
  4. Eddie that is great info, I have size 15 foot and my rear binding plate does not line up with 2 of the front existing inserts, my plan was to add two inserts about 1.5" toward the rear for the front of the rear plate, the nylon block most likely does not extend this far?
  5. The insert was obtained at a water skis shop, looks just like the ones that are in the ski from the factory. The shop did not know what size to make the hole. The insert is smaller in diameter than the run of the mill insert my ACE hardware shop has and the one in the catalog above.
  6. I need to add two inserts to my Radar ski, the inserts are 0.200 wide for 8x32 screw, do I drill a hole same size or slightly smaller?
