  1. Well after some time I am back to looking for a port side rack for the tower on my 2019 Malibu Response TXI. I know this is a needle in a haystack since most people don't have towers on their slalom boat but just in case. I am looking for a driver starboard side spinning wake board rack. I ordered the boat with a ski holder but due to the way my dock is made I can't have it on there or it hits. Happy to buy one or trade for the ski rack if desired
  2. @r-maniak - Do those digital levels give a reliable reading while the boat is in motion or just at a stop? I bought some cheapies off ebay and they are all over the place at speed.
  3. @r-maniak - that is a GREAT idea with the levels. Which ones did you use and how did you mount them?
  4. A little feedback after some more use. 1. I had a chance to test it at the local slalom course and just like the video from Erik it darn near hit every ball. The accuracy is amazing. 2. The ball hopper in the photo works great and allows you to load a couple hundred balls in each side making repetitive runs way easier. 3. As a beginner I LOVE the ability to use the "B" and "C" settings to lengthen the distance between balls which lets me practice the basics and work my way up to running the real course.
  5. Got mine and used it for the first time yesterday. I am a novice just trying to get down the course 15 off at 28.6mph but so far am loving being able to practice without having a real course nearby. Mine is mounted on a 2019 Malibu Response Txi with no issues. I do wonder if you could use a hopper to increase the ball capacity like this: https://paintball-online.com/hopper-loaders/proto/ Also wondering if a larger CO2 tank could be used with a hose going to the guns - something like this: https://paintball-online.com/gi-sportz-co2-tank-24oz/
  6. I saw on instagram they they were shipping. Would love to see some real world reviews as well. If it worked well I would be all in.
  7. I used these on my last boat and they worked pretty well. Skis moved a little in them but they held on find. https://www.amazon.com/Reborn-quick-release-wakeboard-glossy/dp/B015MHV6O4
  8. Jjackkrash - this may be a newbie question but how does a tower affect the wake - is it just the weight or something else?

  10. I am using the Ski-doc tube style mount https://www.theskidoc.com/ski-doc-camera-mount.htm with their recommended Kodak playport zx5 camera that I picked up off ebay. It gets a nice stable image but resolution is not so great with the low light of sunrise and sunset. I also recently purchased this old school mount off of ebay to try with my DSLR. I'll let you know how it works once I get to play with it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/223582045384
  11. @BraceMaker I tried the glide thing you suggested. At first it felt unstable but after some practice I feel like it really helps me get my weight forward on the skin and initiate a nice turn. @escmanaze - you are dead on - still a bit scared of crossing the wake at speed and keep finding myself easing up after my turn . Every set I get a little more confident so hopefully with time I will be able to stay in the cut and attack it.
  12. Wanted to thank everyone for all the helpful advice! I have been practicing at 28' off @26mph and think I found the soft spot in the wake behind my Response TXi. Still struggling to keep a "taller" or "stacked" position coming over the wake but feeling some improvement with practice. Below is a video from this morning. I would welcome any feedback.
  13. @escmanaze - thanks for the feedback - We skied today at 15 off and it took a bit to get used to but starting to feel good. My daughter's ski is a Radar TRA. Here is a video of her current skill level - @2Valve - I will definitely try to connect with some other skiers and I am lucky to have a ski club\lake about 30 minutes from my house as well. Definitely plan to connect with them. @Cjef23 - I will check out the papers and videos. Any other good online resources\videos I should check out?
  14. I decided last year to take up Slalom skiing at age 45 after a few tries behind a friends boat. Loved it so much I went all in and bought a Radar Katana ski and a Malibu Response Txi. I can now consistently get up with a deep water start and can cut back and forth across the wake decently. 30 second video showing current skill level - My goal is to learn proper form, mainly for freeskiing, but would eventually like to try and run a course. I am seeking advice on what rope length and speed I should be practicing at as well as direction to any resources that would be helpful. Also wondering if I have the best ski for my current skill level. Right now I am skiing long line at 24 mph but feel like the wake with this setup is pretty big. Also looking for advice on rope length and speed to ski my 9 year old (60 lbs) daughter who is currently skiing about like I do.
