Putting in the cardio work just now, watching randomly-offered ski content on YouTube....when a 2017 UK tournament appears on screen. Wait...where’s this?!?

Wiremill...NewCastle...?! Well slap my arse and call me Fergie...turns out THAT’s the pond I skied in 1988 while working an assignment in London. My colleagues arranged a farewell party at Wiremill to send me off (and I think too, as a last ditch effort to convince me to stay). Somewhere I have a VHS tape, in PAL format?‍♂️, of the event including plenty of first-timers loving the experience of what we’re all so giddy about.

Shout out to any Wiremill folks here on BoS!

@6balls ’Lightning’ is by Five Horse Johnson (heh heh) and available on iTunes. ‘Saturday’, by Assisted Living, is the best EiW1 tune IMHO.

I asked The Swerve Master about the prospect of making an EiW3, when he was staying here this summer...didn’t sound promising.

@ScottScott Ok. ‘Issue’ seemed like a reasonable summation for owner comments like these, about the same ‘experience’:

Mobile audio is hardly rocket surgery by now; I’d simply expect this to work well - as in, works the way most owners would like and not be annoyed by- in a boat which costs that much casheesh.

@jepski Your safety clip set up is spot on. I really think having a soft bag inside makes it easier for the TSA folks to get it back together. And it adds some more protection and can serve as a ’to the lake’ bag that’s much more car friendly. Here’s what worked great for me (Pic heavy):

Incidentally; I got national and local ops center responses to my complaint to TSA...about the poor service/handling my ST3 received in GRR - while I watched him futz with it and tried to offer help (he ignored). I can’t imagine him trying to stuff a bunch of loose ski items back in AND hope to get it closed and pinned correctly.

So - what is the de-winterize process for those of you that use the fill with AF method? As in, how are you responsibly dealing with the AF that’s coming out when you start up in the spring? Particularly folks using the toxic stuff. ?

I like your proposed enhancements. Couple suggestions:

How about adding a Rookie of the Year award? May encourage more first-timers to jump in. Maybe a hat. And a free bowl soup. ??

It would be cool to have prior years results readily available while drafting current year tournament entries.
