  1. Today's the 1st time I tried it, and it's the 1st time I felt like I wasn't guessing where to start the pull. Excited to ski tomorrow!
  2. @Gale Kwow, didn't take them long to steal my design!!
  3. @101driver Store the aquaseal in the freezer in a zip lock, it lasts a long time. Next time try the Gearaid Seam Grip, I like it better than aquaseal. My friend skied with these gloves into 32 off today and says the grip is fine. He has Raynauds and his fingers are much happier
  4. Tried the left 55-one ball recommendation today. Best gates in a long time for this 15 off oldguy skier - thanks!
  5. My best friend is a jet ski magnet so he gets to ski last!!
  6. A week at ski school would be a great investment. Many things to adress - take it from a 30mph 15off hack!
  7. What a difference 2 weeks makes - last time I skied in a snow storm, corneas hurt for 3 days! Today water up to 52 at HT, 55 air.
  8. Posts some vids so those better than me can critique your skiing
  9. @Horton But I read it on the internet!!
  10. @Mearlybetter get a set of mugs as well ...
  11. Go buy a portable air horn. I believe they meet the requirement and you can actually hear one in an emergency
  12. @eleeski don't give the Adams any ideas!!
  13. Here are several pics of my glove project. Gloves used listed in earlier post. I removed the original nylon cuff and glued on a wrist drysuit seal. 100% waterproof and WARM now. No problem having hands in the water between passes. The black bag is an anesthesia bag, available on line. I use 1L for the gloves, 2L for drysuit repair. Three way valve found at hardware store, just inflate by mouth. Pic shows aquaseal, Gearaid makes Seam Grip which is thinner and easier to work with. Shop for the 8 oz tubes, store in freezer for future use. I use electrical tape on the seam overnite to hold repair in place. Roughen all surfaces with sandpaper before glueing. Ready to use after 24 hrs cure.
  14. Posted on PlanetNautique this week - now all you need is the hull. https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/forum/nautique-topics/official-correct-craft-news/watershed-innovations/674381-ingenity-launches-mcrate
  15. If you don't need alot of room and bells & whistles, the Malibu Sportster is a fine ski boat and handles like a sports car. Both my buddies have one - a '98 and '01. Lots of free skiing and fine in the course as well. Great for barefooting.
  16. Help us spend your hard earned money - what's your budget? AND welcome to BOS!!
  17. Ok time to resurrect this thread for 2024. Had a lovely "snow ski" at Hilltop this morning. Water down to 45, air 35 and big snow flakes doing LASIK on my corneas. Sometimes I question the wisdom of my winter ski friends - but as my wise old ski pal Bruce says, "WE SKIED AND SOMEBODY ELSE DIDN'T!"
  18. @swc5150 Like the Seattle Boat Show having a Nautique 200 as the one and only example of a ski tug this year.
  19. There's a '98 196 over on Planet Nautique for 18k. Listed with PP/stargazer. Not in your years listed but could at least be a "quick fix" until you score a newer deal!
  20. @wski1831Another post worthy of an "awesome" button! Sounds like a fantastic day!! Makes me miss our Wed Night Crew trips at Bow Lake
  21. Saturday was a petty good day at Hilltop; no ski Sunday, lots of wind & rain. Very pleased to have made it out 5 times in February when my only ski window is on Sat/Sun.
  22. @ESPNSkierOnce again I am looking for the awesome button but still can't find one - but I will be anxiously watching your progress. I assume you are doing some type of training/PT program to get your sternum/chest muscles healthy again. The more you do, the quicker & healthier you will ski.
