  1. Lovely old boat; should be in a museum; still in very nice condition
  2. Sat 12/16, 74 degrees! (40 air, 34 water) - heavenly! Hooray for ice chest full of hot water
  3. @tjm - fantastic; so happy for you! Were you treated in 2017 or 2018; also curious were you doing any aggressive PT prior to stem treatment? Thanks again for sharing.
  4. pb 34/15off; watch Horton's video, that's all I think about now! Before that, hips to handle going to wake; bend knees stand tall & centered getting to ball
  5. @tjm thanks for the update - you are the 1st post that has actually had the procedure. What was your cell source? Spring of 2018?? Did you have a shoulder diagnosis/mri??
  6. @Horton - if the LM is keeping you busy now, wait till she's 16 (license, boys etc) - sorry if that keeps you up at night; probably just got myself banned!
  7. Just curious; how many months/days a week skied? What handle & what gloves?
  8. My buddy has an old (20+ yrs now) Hyperlite wakeboard that was narrowed and he still loves getting out and playing, just like on this vid. You should see him rip thru the course on it! Knew he should have applied for a patent.
  9. @A_B: "it isn't where it needs to be yet " - meaning the current technology? If stem is going to work for you, getting it done earlier on give the cells better tissue to regenerate - so if stem cell therapy is the real deal, now is the time to explore options. It's not realistic to expect it to help an end stage arthritic joint.
  10. Stay just warm enough to keep the ice away so I can continue to ski in Dec & Jan
  11. I have been curious about stem cell therapy for a few years now. Reviewed all the BOS posts I could find. Recently went to one of the "sales seminars" too. As a veterinarian I have some understanding of the theory and science involved, and my training has me leaning more to the "too good to be true" conclusion. So, there are quite a few threads on here that date back a few years. I would be especially interested in Ballers reports that are more than a year out from their procedures, and where their cells came from (fat, marrow etc) and what areas you had treated. Also any physicians & therapists comments appreciated. Thanks!
  12. I have seen no mention of Sanger Boats in this discussion. I bought the open bow DLX in 95 and it was a decent boat in the course. Looks like their DXII could be mentioned here as a nice ski tug?
  13. Left hip, left shoulder down to elbow; feet hurt too. Sucks being sixty but regular skiing makes it all feel better!
  14. December 7th, lake frozen, pray for rain, try again next week; I need to ski or I get more sore!! Change thread name to December??
  15. Get a good dry suit and stay in WA - gators are too scary for me - but on the flip side, was gunna ski tomorrow but the lake is on the hard side :(
  16. New to the club, just finished reading the 'Misconceptions' page; great stuff till I saw my handle hold has been upside down for 3 decades! I'm RFF, throw & kick left handed but bat & golf right handed; so hold my handle like I bat and golf, with right hand on top
  17. A lovely 79 degrees this morning in WA (air 40, water 39). With Horton's video help had some of my best passes ever!
  18. @Horton I had the good fortune of a Dec 1st ski this AM in WA, and all I thought about was standing tall, straighter rear leg. I'm getting fairly comfortable at 32/15 and ran some of my best passes ever today! Lots more angle, ski finished the turn better - hope I can remember tomorrow what I did today. If you're up in my neck of the woods I will pour you a nice scotch if you will teach me some more!
  19. Hey Mark, you sound like a great dad - would you consider adopting a 60 yr old and buying him (me) a new ski too??
  20. I was skiing on a 1994 era HO VTX; struggling with 30mph passes, figured I just wasn't much of a skier. Got a HO Superlite CX last season; PB's started by the 2nd set; this year I made my 1st ever 34 mph pass - used to be scared to free ski that speed! As has been said so well, try lots of skis, get new/lightly used if possible; you will be amazed. Superlite no longer made, Omni took it's place & I hope to try it next season to compare
  21. 1st post since joining - great forum! This weekend water 36, air 40. I like to say I skied a lovely 76 degree weekend, helps me stay warm!
