  1. @AdamCord should be included on this Major accomplishment for Denali skis . Congrats on the results of all the design & testing that made this possible. Adam & Adam
  2. Amazing performance @adamhcaldwell . If anybody wants an incredible ski I would contact Adam Caldwell. I know who I want building my skis.
  3. @OldGettingYoung When you get DFT in the correct spot you are looking for , how does your ski handle? As long as your screws in the fin block are snug the fan will not be able to move. The set screw in the back is more for moving the DFT forward easier. I wouldn't concern yourself that without it touching the trailing edge of the fin that will slide back. Having thin block screws snug should be sufficient. Just a reminder to not over tighten them especially if they're stainless steel going into an aluminum fin block. So not to strip the aluminum threads. Have fun and I'm interested to hear how the ski works in relation to the stock fin.
  4. Hmmm, Thats interesting.Happy It's working good for you. I ran the S wing all of last year. This winter I played around with the flat wing for a few weeks & it seems to carry too much speed into the ball. Put the S Wing back on @7° and it just works. I think the more efficient I'm becoming at the GUT approach to skiing, you know, swing the rope around the pylon faster. Keeping the elbows pinned to my body off the second wake & yawing the ski in the direction of the boat instead of rolling the ski first . You end up having much more speed & time, even waiting on the buoy . It's a little strange seeing the course that way. I feel the S wing is very helpful in getting the ski to shut down just in time to make a nice easy turn which means better angle more speed into the first wake . Repeat until the exit gate.
  5. @S1Pitts That long/ shallow set up worked really well for me too. Did a ton of Fin tuning last Summer under the direction of @AdamCord . 67" c-65 LFF 30.65"FB reflex RTP 7.01 , 2.432, .784 DFT 7` S wing . Also a great short/ deep set up that worked equally as well but easier to get angle off the ball was 30.65" FB 6.781, 2.520, .760DFT 7`S-wing .
  6. To be fair, he was not on normal conventional high-end ski .It was the whole package c-75 Denali CG fin. The CG classic takes a small part of that technology and can help a normal conventional ski perform better by simply installing it with the same set up you have been running for better results. For maximum results a c-75 will be required. But it's a start.
  7. @wawaskr if quantum physics was explained could you follow along. @adamhcaldwell said it best. P.F.M. . To watch a guy that is only 5'9" tall run into -43off is spooky action at a distance.
  8. Blowing the tail is a condition of coming into the ball too fast and narrow. If you've ever raced cars or snowmobiles you may have heard the term loose is fast. It's not really a matter of being loose. Too loose will make you spin out in the corner much like blowing the tail. Anytime we're entering the corner too fast there is that potential whether it be on a ski or in a racing vehicle. It's more better described as a slight drift. In skiing we call it smear. What that does, is set the angle early exiting the corner to be able to put the power down sooner.the better angle you have coming out of the turn the more chance of being early and further up on the boat giving you more time in the turn. That's what the asymmetrical holes help to achieve. I agree with.@ Than_Bogan @ Adam cord or@Adam Caldwell should chime into better explained in detail.
  9. The one I ordered for my friend to make his Goode even better arrived today. Order was placed late last week.@mdrggs if you scroll to the beginning of this post it tells all about the fin. Same settings you've been running including the wing, just install the CG classic and run more buoys. If you like adjusting fins and getting the most possible performance out of your ski then get the CG standard.
  10. @Jaypro That fin doesn't know what length your at. The asymmetrical holes affects the water flow around & through the fin as it turns it free's up the back of the ski helping it to pivot around the Apex naturally with less input from the skier. So with help turn the ski at any length or speed.
  11. Archer, a skilled Archer sounds better.
  12. We've all heard the comment it's the Indian not the arrow. But we never consider the bow. What a skilled Indian can do with a longbow vs a compound bow or rather a crossbow with a scope on it. The c-75 is like the crossbow with a scope on it. The results are just easier. More buoys for more skiers.
  13. Thanks for all you guys are doing for this sport. You're moving the bar for what's possible on a Slalom ski. Simply Amazing!
  14. @DangerBoy agreed, ski looks good at that point. Everyone was referring to the exit off the ball . The point where the tip would raise up momentarily and then he would reset the angle and go.
  15. @Drago said is correct & more repeatable also more consistent
  16. @Drago what is correct & more consistent
  17. @Ski_Dad forgot to mention, getting up this way is much like walking up stairs
  18. @Ski_Dad . Back foot out using it as counter Ballance. This is very important, LFF rope on the right of the ski as if you had two skis with rope between them, Also allow ski to naturally veir to the left as it plains out. Opposite for RFF.
  19. @Rednucleus as I wait for my c-75 I have a 2018 c-65 I would be willing to sell you. I could keep the CG fin and you could try the WF on it and see. It's a great ski too. The shape of these skis is unconventional. CG fin is what allows for this. Let's not forget last year, Cale beat the great Nate on one in a tournament.
  20. @Jetsetr just don't take away my CG fin . Buoy count is higher even if skier is not much better.
  21. @pgmoore , thanks for the post . Huge contrast from past to present. Seems waterski ziff kind of done the same thing. Especially what they're doing with the Denalis.
  22. Not sure what ski riding? Or if you're double boot guy or rear kicker. Hopefully your front boot measurement is not too much forward from stock. That can hold it back from rotating around. I would move your front boot to stock setting. Get your depth offset as close to each other as possible. Asymmetrical holes will take care of the rest. That seems like an awful lot of length for the amount of depth you're running for a CG fin. I would take out at least .050 of length out. We've had a lot of success with less than 6.800 length & around 2.500- 2.520 depth. That was on the c-65 Denali . c-75 shorter yet , shallower & further forward. Or you could do like what's been suggested by the Adams , whatever the stock settings are for your ski adjust everything at least.020 shallower, deaper& forward.
