  1. I have the 2019 syndicate omni 69”. I started back skiing this year after a 15 year layoff. Was on a GOODE with double hard shells running into 35 off when I quit skiing around 2004. I’m 53, 6’ 225lbs. Started back May 4th and skied the first month and half on the Goode before I bought the Omni. I started with the front syndicate hardshell and r-style rear. After about 8 sets I changed to a Wiley’s rtp. The Omni is easier to get up on and less work to ski on. It is what they say it is. A transition ski up to a tournament ski. After 3 days with the rtp I was running passes at 15 off 32mph. Unfortunately I injured my ribs and haven’t skied for 2 weeks.
  2. The suspense is killing them.
  3. You can see the 2 flat washers between the shell and plate. 2 of the 3 screws at the heel that are side by side have the washers. I ordered this r-style new in June and it came assembled. I haven’t skied in over 10 years. Started back May 4th. Was on my old Goode with double hard shells until I ordered a HO syndicate Omni with the syndicate hardshell. I tried this r-style but wasn’t crazy about it so I ordered a rtp from Wiley’s. After about 4 sets I got used to the rtp. I didn’t like having my rear foot further back due to the front release and my foot would slide forward and back in the shell. I wear a 12 so I’m in between the xl and xxl. Hope this helps.
  4. To add to @TravisNW comment the HO Syndicate Omni.
  5. @bananaron did you buy that boat out of Louisiana? I saw one for sale a couple weeks ago just like it.
  6. @Zman should know. I met him at Lyman’s today with @Booze.
  7. Dial calipers all the way. What I was thinking in my previous post. I’ve got both and for reliability and longevity dial is the way to go. Had the same set in my ski tool kit since the mid 90’s.
  8. Starrett, Brown&sharpe or Mitutoyo if you don’t mind spending the dough. These were the big 3 back in the day.
  9. @mfjaegersr What length ski is that? I’m on a 69” using the syndicate hardshell and was unable to get the plate back far enough to get the factory binding placement recommendation.
  10. @mfjaegersr How far apart do you have your front and back binding plates? I have the same ski, the HO syndicate hardshell and the r-style rear. I had to spread them apart to be able to get the front binding in. Thinking about trying a rtp.
