  1. Gotta love looking at a boat that’s been loved, and this one looks great!!!
  2. I agree with UWSkier. I assume that you don’t do any barefooting since you didn’t mention it, but the 03-06 is a terrific barefoot boat as well. I ski regularly behind 02 & 03 RLX and two 06 RXI’s. Very little difference. The wake is slightly wider behind the LXI (perhaps slightly shorter), but it’s definitely more tolerant to extra crew and weight distribution. Slalom wake is very good form 15- 32 off. Not running anything shorter these days.
  3. I can’t speak on the Carbon Omni, but I love my Syndicate Omni. I’ve owned a lot of skis over the years and this is hands down my favorite ski! Also adjusted to it very quickly.
  4. Love the LXI’s! Very versatile, great slalom and barefoot boat!
  5. I’m Chad Hodgen from Indiana, and I’ve been skiing since I was 4 which makes this my 44th year of skiing I believe. Having 3 daughters all active in sports hadn’t gotten the lake time in recent years that I’d like to have had. Also suffered an injury in 08 requiring surgery on my right hip. Really struggled slalom skiing without major pain for a few years afterwards and later found that I could barefoot without any issues with my hip. Really didn’t much other than footing from 2011 to this season. Upgraded my boat this year and really caught the slalom bug. Ordered a new HO Syndicate Omni a few months ago and have really had great results. The ski rides higher in the water creating less drag and holds a different angle than my old Monza did. Result... Skiing with very little issue from the previous injury. Even started rounding some balls again last month. Not sure I’ll compete again, but man am I having fun! One daughter now in college and another a high school senior I find myself doing far less driving for practices. Schedule is starting to free up enough that I plan to hit the water far more frequently in the years to come, like the old days! I will however be continuing to travel for some sporting events as my older two both continued their respective sports beyond high school. Advancements like ZO and PP make it possible for my wife or daughters to pull me if my ski buddies aren’t available too. Anyway, that’s my story. Really enjoy this site, thanks @Horton
  6. It is a beautiful boat, and Clay has excellent documentation on this boat.
  7. @UWSkier... ?! You got somebody’s panties in a bunch!
  8. I’d agree with the Sunsetter LXI recommendation. I sold Malibu Boats back in the day, and that’s exactly the direction that I would’ve steered you. The Response LXI and Response TXI were both mentioned as well, but there is an issue. I absolutely love the Response models (and own one), but if you’re spending some time on public waters on the weekends with adults in the bow you’ll experience water coming over the bow. It won’t be some minor spray, but 10’s of gallons until you’re accustomed to the boat’s characteristics. This will not be an issue with the Sunsetter series. Good Luck!
  9. Thanks for the suggestions. I made a deposit on a boat, and now just waiting for the weather to break for a water test!
  10. Thanks guys! @MISkier I had been looking at the same ones you were seeing, market had been a little stale. @tburt I’ll keep yours in mind, and @LakeOneSkier we’ll be in touch.
  11. Anyone in the Midwest looking to sell their 2015 or 2016 Response TXI in the coming months? The 6.0/ 409 hp would be preferred, but not a must. Wish list would include: jump seat and tandem trailer.
  12. @LakeOneSkier - Really liked that particular boat, but looking for 2014-2016 TXI. I would like to see more pics and learn more if his boat is available. There were several ‘12-‘16 TXI’s listed in the fall, but not many new listings since September. What state is the boat in?
  13. Any chance anyone knows where this boat ended up?
