Scorebooks are not posted until the tournament is closed out, usually a couple days. Depends on the due diligence of the chief scorer.

Last year I was skiing terribly, my skills diminishing in the 2 years since turning 65. It was not fun anymore, and I almost quit. I laid off a month, reevaluated my situation, and decided to relearn how to ski. I went back to an old reliable ski, opening at 15 off, running multiple passes to get comfortable again. I finally got to running a few 32 offs again. In the process I rediscovered how to have fun again, even on a less successful day. My grandfather used to tell me It's hell getting old. It doesn't have to be. I'm happy to get out on the water every chance I get.

Don't know about 38 off. Never got there.

Agree with @BraceMaker. The right prop can make a difference. My 94 Nautique 196 came with a 3 blade stock prop (and it was a promo boat). Put an OJ 4 blade Legend on it, more power, 46mph, and the smallest lowest wake ever. No spray at 35off.

Wakes suck on most of the new boats at 32 mph 22off. Still a bump at 28 off. MC better than the others for old folks. Still, trying at 68 yrs old.

@braindamage , @ Kimbymon looking to ski the course during July. Staying near Traverse City.

Silent Shores 30 min nw of indy. Hawthorn 30 min w of indy. Both have websites.

Am I seeing an old 1960s nautique in the background?

Awesome. My wife and I skied together for 40 years, coaching, driving, tournaments, etc, the last 20 behind our home on a private lake. She retired from skiing 4 years ago, and I missed her. 3 days ago she tricked for the first time in a couple years and enjoyed it. I hope she continues a little bit.

I used to ski C1 on my 196. Then I upgraded to single puck (version S), and changed to B2. Now all the boats feel the same to me.

I'm sorry, Hobe is by palm city.

Hobe Sound Ski Club and school is about 20 min away.

Maybe it has to do with a few really good over 35 guys still skiing well in open. I hope the WEST 55 thing keeps going.

The Little Debbie Classic. Sunday after the regular tournament in Mobile, AL, we had a mini jump contest, tape rule on the shore, video tape with interviews and all. Pure Fun, a Blast. Chris Wendell won a box of LD oatmeal creme pies.

Go to the D3 bindings-hardware (parts) on their website. The T-Factor toe piece is by size . The heal piece is the same for bindings M to XL. The T- Factor overlay is the same for M to XL. So your binding size difference would be in the toe piece. I think I would agree with @SlalomSteve, it may depend more if your foot is narrow or wide.

Seems like the old Straightline vest everybody was wearing 20 years ago had better rib padding than today's vests. I wish somebody would make one like it again. Heard Eagle might do it. Liked the 2 buckles too.

If you want a great full to the chines cover, go with Tumac from Skip Dunlap.

Are you guys all on hard she'll binding(s)?

Please keep mixing your stories along with trick tips. Awesome !!!

Google 6 inch Styrofoam bouys. Several choices come and most carry 7.5 inch too. 3-4 $ for 6in, 5-6 $ for 7.5. I use crook brothers in FL. Best price. We been using 6 in for sub bouys for years.

I'm up there there by Torch River month of July. Having a course is a bonus, but an early am free ski run on Bellaire would be fun too.

I hear there is still a course on Cedar Lake west of Traverse City, but do not know who is skiing there. Anybody know?
