  1. Hey Scott, Since you mentioned your dad's old Chris-Craft, there are quite a few antique boaters on this forum. Just saw the pics. One of my dad's old friends took us us for a ride in that exact same model. You would appreciate that this guy had some friends at GM engineering who dropped a 327 400 hp in that boat. It is claimed we were going over 70, however mostly out of the water. Scary fast. But fun.

  2. There's a little tournament called World Water Ski Championships coming next week. Just thought you might like to know, since you are noticeably absent promoting it on your (our) website or news blasts. And, its happening right here in your (our) back yard.

  3. I bought a 2006 in 2014 for the same money (with trailer). ZO conversion was already done. Put 500 more hours, and put new engine for 6K and still came out even when I sold it.  I think in 07 you don't have to change the ECM to convert to ZO. Savings there. Also, that boat has the analog guage system, as opposed to gateway, which is great.  Pics look pretty good. Taken care of, an engine can give you plenty more hours, I think somebody on here got 4K hrs. Just do your due diligence as suggested here by others.

  4. Bottom line, at most tournaments you're going to get Masterline Pro. (or S-Lines equivalent)  You might get the choice of Optimized or HO (My preference). Best is to train with what you are likely to get. However, after 50 to a 100 sets, they all become stiff fairly stiff.

If you don't care about tournaments,  go with what you like.

  5. If you have a club full of skiers with no ratings it's a shame. Not unique however these days. Everyone should be strongly encouraged to get or upgrade their ratings, at least in their own disciplines. Hold annual clinics for all the types.  And get very proactive about safety as well. Everybody should be doing something during a tournament. The bonus is it's fun for everybody when everybody is involved.

  6. Worlds start 4 weeks from today at Jack Travers Sunset Lakes in Groveland FL.  Neither USAWS nor IWWF has it on their home page yet, but you can reach preliminary information through either of their Major Events Calendar.  USAWaterSki.org and  IWWF.sport will get you there. Women's Slalom Series 1 Preliminaries are on Thurs, the 12th. Mens are on Fri, the 13th.  Both Slalom Finals are on Sun, the 15th. Both Jump finals are on Sun too.  Lots of fantastic tricking in between. Free admission,  free parking, food vendors, TWBC live broadcast. Bring your tent and chairs,  enjoy.

  7. I don't really care for head to heads either, pass by pass, or set by set, for the same reasons as those stated above.  But like I said, head to head and side by side would be fun. With a go pro heli following above, the video could be awesome.  I hadn't thought about Okaheelee. I thought one of the European sites might be capable, but can't remember which if any.
