  1. since you asked.... lol how about protection from impact? any special design or considerations for common injuries (ribs, spinal)?
  2. how much does it weigh dry vs wet? Give us some numbers, we are waterskiiers, we love numbers.
  3. I dont think the kids working at the dealership would know what to do with my old boat lol its probably the same age as they are.
  4. I still think my 91 Ski Brendella has the win for best wake when it comes to 15 off @34 mph the new boats are so heavy!
  5. just happy to see they are still developing and refining the design!
  6. Still out there, the old farts in the ski club took down one of the courses on the lake after I asked them to leave it but I think we got another month at least . Hopefully they don't pull the other one or Im gonna have to lay-out some senior citizens.
  7. A handle impact from a fall has cracked the edge of my ski and I would like to epoxy it, just wondering if there are any recommendations on the type of epoxy or glue to use 2020 radar vapor lithium Thanks ballers!heres a pic for y'all Dave on a sick fall set
  8. could it have been left on the trailer strapped down too tight? i have heard of this warping hulls over time..
  9. getting the stack off side in particular, and then my offside turn is lagging (due to body position) also need to work on gate timing, the biggest hold back in the second part of the season has been conditioning, after I got covid my energy levels seem to be lower. doing 2 sets is a big task now and I hope to improve that next season. First full season skiing a course and at 34mph and I made it to 1 @32 off @34mph pretty stoked! looking forward to next season coming in with some experience as well as a bunch of off water training. going to get some pro coaching starting in the spring and that should help a ton.
  10. This is awesome. Thanks @LoopSki! I love my Brendella! Mike Brendell came from a long line of boat builders, building a mould is not a big task. When you put them side by side they are not even close to the MC hull (no more than any other ski boat of the day) I highly doubt he would use a mold from MC I have heard this a bunch but I think its all bull. After a summer of over 100 hrs pulling all sorts of skiiers, my 91 shortline comp boat has killed it all season. pulled guys thru 38off at 36 mph (with stargazer pp/zbox). There was a little spray hitting the skiier on the pullout at this length/speed but apart from that everyone was very impressed with the tow. My biggest problem is I would love a newer boat (more room, efi, less maintenance, "nicer", more HP) but the brendella skis so well its hard to replace it. Its only downfalls are, No storage/very little room (3 skiers and gear is a mess)wood floors w carpet (on a boat thats used every day its hard to get them dry) Tiny bit of spray at pullout on 38 off at 36MPH (not going to be an issue for me for a few years at least lol) Some of the newer hulls have a bit less trough thru the wakes at shorter line lengths I have noticed but the longer line lengths are better than some of the newer boats Ive been behind. The boat and wakes are more sensitive to weight distribution than the newer boats. ( if no spotter, counterweight is needed) 3 people in the boat is noticeable increase in wakes. Im going to keep my eye out for "THE ONE" but for now this boat is more than adequate for me and Im guessing 98% of skiiers out there
  11. good riddance. those boats are crap, they don't ski well or surf well.
  12. Stealth Kevlar. 100% best gloves I have tried on. 2 years and countless sets later they are still rocking. I cram my hands into the smalls and they fit better than any glove Ive put on.
  13. 100% the easiest/hardest way to improve your general health and vitality. Alcohol is poison the sooner you realize this the better. N/A beer is also very hard on your body with inflammation, gluten, high calories and with craft types usually high in sugar as well...still better than the booze but if your trying to improve, I'd just cut beer out completely.
  14. Totally agree, this is a huge problem I see with the water(tow)sports industry. It will take a few people dying before it really changes. At least we don't see boat ads with kids in the bow very often anymore, things are starting to change but it seems like the waterski industry in particular is moving at a snails pace. Ill bet in the next 5 years some sort of vest will be mandatory in trick
  15. @Such_a_brett your going to need minimum 20' deep for a decent surf wake....
  16. @escmanaze, I would rather be close to the pool, close to the rec lake (for entertaining) and a short walk to the slalom rather than hearing and watching other people ski at 34 mph all day. For me, having to watch people ski every day while I wait for my slot would be torture. Not to mention I was clearly joking. For real. Man.
  17. So..... I think its a great idea and I really hope it works! However, the real question is and Im sure its what me and all the guys on here are really wondering.. was it coincidence that lot #69 is the best lot or did you guys just start there?
  18. Thanks @Mastercrafter @Fastguy888 @KRoundy and @Gloersen this is really helpful information. I really dont have anyone to chat about this stuff with so its a huge help. Im leaning towards 2x vapor boot (ouch$$) just need to try some on for sizing and switch to the mr noodles diet for the next month or three lol
  19. ok, thanks for the input! @VermontSkier @KRoundy I wonder would 2 vapor boots be excessive?
  20. Hi ballers, I was hoping some of you could help me with some insight on a choosing a new binding set up. here is a little background information. Im a 36 year old skier, I have been skiing for my whole life but just started to get into course skiing over the last few years and I only have an handful of passes thru a course. I currently can do the course at 22 off @ 32mph but I just bought on a private lake with 2 courses so Im expecting to progress significantly this year. Im skiing on a 2021 radar vapor lithium and with the vector bindings. (I use 2 boots) I was debating between the vapor boots and the pulse (Im sticking with radar cause I can get a bit of a deal but Im not committed to this) I used to have the HO animal boots and I like the support and control from them the vector boots are good but I feel a bit loose in them (not a bad loose just not as locked in, I still skied well in these) I haven't had an opportunity to ski a hard boot but I see most of the advanced guys using them, I do like the release system etc but I have no experience with them. any suggestions/info are appreciated, I have read a bunch of threads on here about bindings but there is so many different views etc that its hard to determine what would work for me. I don't currently have a community of skiers to ask questions or try things so its VERY difficult to decide on what to do here. Thanks in advance for any input !
  21. 1200 hard hours on The H5 in our centurion. lost a pulley at 1100 hours. love that motor.
