Pulled the course last week and ironically after an injury free season also pulled my back while doing it. We’re done till 2024

Thanks all. Figured as much. I have sent the dealer pics of both brackets in hopes they get me the correct ones
-
Thanks @Mastercrafter, that looks like what I was expecting to receive. The attached pictures are what I did receive. Quite sure they sent the wrong part, this one will not work as far as I can tell unless I’m missing something

Wondering if anyone would be able to supply me with some pics of the removable rear seat hardware mounted in a 2020 Prostar. Bought the boat without seats, took a while to get the seats, will be installing myself this winter. Seems quite straight forward but a pic of the finished product would be helpful. Dealer supplied stainless screws, wondering if a through-bolt and backing plate is necessary. Any experience or advice is welcome! Thanks

We use our tin boat to deploy and retrieve. Concerned about damage to the ski boat, some stuff with edges involved. Also depending on how long it’s in, our is quite covered in algae so it makes a mess in the boat upon retrieving. We deploy and retrieve in reverse as mentioned above, use the gunwales as a bench of sorts. Have a system that works for us and we can now do it in an hour or so depending on the wind. Enjoy!

What @Andre said regarding buoys and public lakes. Every year I change the foam as it’s one less pvc tube to deal with, a bit lazy on my part. Not as solid a solution as the capped pvc
-
Our public lake is the same, need to be done skiing by 8 or 9 am. Even then in the busy summer days it is hit and miss. I look forward to June and September work best here but that will diminish over time I expect.

Had a few runs in the boat last few days. This morning the engine icon was back. The analog gauge did not ever show over 170* in the last 3 uses since the initial warning. Am now thinking that I was not successful in clearing the error completely from the system. Also idled the boat to look for air bubbles and saw none in the elbow or screening canister. Located the crossover tube in case that is the culprit.
So I guess to begin, am I able to clear the error message completely and if so how do I accomplish this? -
@jhughes curious to know what length you are on for your size. I’m considering this ski and am in between 66 and 67, not deep into the line though. Am all about bad form and narrow gates lol a work in progress. Maybe for an older 22 off skier this is too much ski?

I haven’t been able to get back into the boat for a bit but am curious @Cnewbert can the tube be unplugged instead of replaced? Could you tell what plugged it?

Thank you for the replies. I did look at the check valve, it has new looking Teflon tape and is brass so I expect it was changed recently. I did also look at the clear plastic elbow during idle but I will do that again and look more closely. Also will pull the impeller just in case. Failing any positive diagnosis I will try the cross over tube issue as @Cnewbert suggested. If I find the culprit I will post it

I think this may be a one off, spent a few hours at 10mph on a warm ish day wake foiling and noticed the warning the next day.
engine did not shut downI cleared the error then did the usual and obvious things, cleaned the strainer(minor debris), checked intake through hull, looked for hose cracks leaks, checked impeller , see attached. Is this what they normally look like? Rubber felt supple as it should, impeller is 4 months 30hrs old.
will watch Temp gauge closely for the next bit.
Skied the boat and was fine.
Anyone else have this happen ? Have heard these engines run warm but it lives in Ontario not Texasthanks for any insight

Poly main line, get the 55s. 2 of us install in 45 minutes in light wind and deep water. Thought I had heard on this site though that Ed was retiring?
-
The headaches of maintaining a course are likely increased if you can’t see the course from your place. We install our floater early season and late season only to avoid the busiest months. it’s across the lake from our dock so can see if there’s anything potentially happening to it. If there was a good site within an hours drive I probably wouldn’t bother with my own. Between maintenance, weather and boat wakes it’s a challenge to get great conditions. I guess worth the trouble is a relative issue so I’d agree with the post above to give it a try and see.

Something resembling elation and complete satisfaction, happens rarely enough so that I keep at it after the rest of the passes I run

Definitely a tough look for MC and seemed like a lot of weird stuff was happening. Is the pylon design new for the 21+ models or is it the same for ‘14-‘20?
-
100% go see it yourself and drive it. As mentioned above be prepared to walk or better yet don’t offer while you’re there, a days drive there and back is a relatively small % of 5he cost. Seems to be a cooler used market but prices will likely remain high ish given the cost of new. Being in Florida should help a lot. Good luck. Fwiw we invested 30 hrs of driving to find the boat we wanted. Time well spent.

This may be a bit random but I’ve been reading reviews on skis by as many sources as possible since it is so hard ie impossible to ride them all before buying. How would the vapour compare to the XTR team in terms of general characteristics?
-
FWIW my ski progression went f1x(2007, prophecy (2011)and then when we moved to the lake 2020 Vapour Lithium. Have skied/owned a few other modern skis and love the Vapour both in course and free. My next ride will be a vapour pro.
