  1. This is a great 12 min routine for those with back pain looking to improve condition. However, as you continue to do this routine there will be diminishing returns as your body becomes used to the stress. While it’s often demonized, progressive overload of the lumbar spine through a pain free range of motion will improve the strength and active range of motion in the low back. This will not just alleviate back pain but will reduce injury risk and improve performance far more than a stretching routine. If it alleviates pain and that helps you ski/feel better, get after it….but the research on stretching in fit individuals shows modest improvements at best. If you only have 60 minutes or less allotted to exercise daily and are in good enough shape to run the slalom course; spending your time resistance training (and training cardio respiratory fitness) will allow stimulus on the same muscles in stretching (hamstrings, lumbar flexors/extensors) with much greater opportunity for continued gains.
  2. Yea the area is amazing. Swiss waterski is just 5 min away and there are various other waterski lakes
  3. I have placed a hole in the center with a diameter of 0.282 inches to fit a standard 9/32" diameter arrow shaft. Does this look OK? Should the hole be exactly the same diameter as shaft, or a little smaller/bigger?
  4. SlalomSync, CourseCoach, GlideGuide, WakeWizard, SlalomSphere,SlalomSensei
  5. Yes just to clarify: bought it on Geartrade.com and I’m assuming they listed it as a C1 by accident. They don’t deal much in waterskis so it makes sense. The price fits the 23’ DV8, but I’ll tell you I was definitely hoping to snag a C1 for well below MSRP.
  6. I just got my C1 delivered. I thought there was only one model of this ski released, but the ski I got has a different pattern… and it says DV8 at the bottom, not C1? Not bought from Connelly directly
  7. Connelly engineering team got back to me: My engineering team has said that they have and are considering including it with larger skis, but that there is no definitive decision yet. If I hear anything in the future, I will try my best to let you know.
  8. Would I be better off with a 67 or 68? I will be around 185-190 when skiing this year. I have been skiing the 2021 DV8 67 at around 195 and haven't really had issues with stability. Chart says 160-180 use 67 and >180 use 68.
  9. $MBUU 3 month stock price chart. Major sell off around same time they made budget cuts leading TXi program being scrapped (if that has been confirmed) and 8% drop in stock value yesterday when lawsuit news came out.
  10. @UCFskierdefinitely and at my level especially these micro adjustments dont mean much at all. I did however definitely notice a difference in turns and wake crossings using the different blocks on the DV8. I think it will be cool to test out and have some fun while also getting a different feel skiing without having to change skis, regardless of performance changes which will likely be negligible.
  11. Looking for a used Size L/10 T-factor, animal, blackout leverage, or older reflex for my new C1 I am getting next week. Couldn't find any on ski-it-again.com so I thought I would ask here. At my level I think the binding for the most part is irrelivant, most of all I just need to improve my technique and make sure I come out of the boot when I inevitably fall/crash. If you have any older bindings you think would be suitable that you are willing to sell,I appreciate you messaging me. Looking to spend less than $350 total.
  12. This is what sparked the idea- https://www.connellyskis.com/pages/versatail ,the extended tail option listed VT+ that is only for 63 DV8 to make it a 65. I think it might be more of a significant difference in this case because the base of the block is a U shape instead of flat but I can’t tell for sure. Tried reaching out to engineers at Connelly but they haven’t gotten back to me about why they don’t offer an extended tail for the larger skis. Prob would have same reasoning as @Horton but hope to hear back.
  13. Understood. Due to the extra length not increasing total surface area much?
  14. @Hortonhaha good to know, dont ask me how I thought the Versa Tails I have been using for 2+ years were metal.... not plastic. 🤦‍♂️ @JPeckhamwould you or nick be willing to share the digital models of your VersaTails? I dont have prior experience with Computer Aided Design, but thought I might as well use the 3D printing resources my university provides. And any recommendations of material to use from the following: PLA, PETG, PVA, TPU, SLA "resin", NinjaFlex, Nylon, Photopolymer resin, and Onyx (a mixture of Nylon and Carbon Fiber). There's also fiber reinforcement: Fiberglass, Kevlar, Carbon Fiber. The goal of this is to have some fun and experiment mainly with getting my 67 to ski more like a 68. LMK if there are previous threads with info on this- couldn't find any. Thanks
  15. Would the lower weight of nylon and carbon fiber compared to metal lead to poor balance of the ski? Looking to attempt to make some custom tails but before, I want to ensure it won't be a waste of time. Want to experiment with shape, but more so possibly a longer tail to lengthen total ski. Also I'm unsure if the nylon the piece will be made from will flex too much under pressure and bend or snap. Thoughts?
