first year since I was 18 that I didn't turn some bouys, had every intention but a early summer broken collar bone derailed that.....next year I am gonna get back at it.

Skiing has been chasing its tail with uSOC since before I started skiing....waste of time and money!

@bigtex2011 back away from tha banquets big boy…doping is a whole different subject…but usac has a good track record of dealing with N8 style shenanigans…they usually get it squashed before it gets started…the shotgun effort (one size fits all will only drive away membership who are already fed up with yearly snowballed rules and added tournament regulations

USAC doesn’t require every member to take safe sport training. Period! Anyone in a coaching position, doing clinics or working with minors has to under go a background check and safe sport video training. Junior cyclist who age out (turn 18) who will still train around minors have to watch the vid… basically… if you’re going to be coaching and training children or minors then you take the video if you’re going to ski participate etc. no video should be necessary this one vac fits all doesn’t really work in the real world

To require everyone who’s a member to take safe sport training is ridiculous, to require those who desire to coach and train children and under 18 teens, good idea. Why should joe blow ( 55 year old skier watch this just to be allowed to participate). This sport is shrinking yearly and USA ski just keeps making it more appealing to not show up every year with more rules and regs. Safe sport has its place but not in this manner

Safe sport dropped the ball big time in our little pond....so...I'll pass on that and a usaski membership from here on out. But thanks to @Horton I can still keep in touch and make fun of @The_MS & @Bruce_Butterfield !

Matt was undeniably an amazing skier but also a great guy you could argue with and still have beers with after... He wouldn't always agree with you (me) but would definitely try to see your (my) point of view. He will be sorely missed by me for sure and the rest of the skiing community. Life definitely isn't fair. He skied how I always aspired to. Bad ass on the water and funny and down to earth off. We are all better off for having known Matt and having him as a friend! Prayers for you and your family Marcus. Please let us know if you and your family need anything.

It was skippy and my promo boat for 2 years, pulled regionals and nationals several times and provided many smiles and many PB’s ! Hope y’all enjoy it as much as we did! She’s a beaut Clark

Heads up ballers, I tend to be direct and to the point....no lengthy pages of dialogue deep from within expressing inner most thought! But, the past month has been a literal SHIT storm like nothing I could ever imagine. @Horton , @Dirt & @ForrestGump ser up this GFM page, I would never ask for it but it is appreciated none the less. My family is at a loss of words from the absolute overwhelming support received from the ski community. Chasing bouys drove me for the majority of my adult life and I have created friendships that I will cherish till my last breath. For this I am forever grateful and I am thankful for each and every one of you. Much love and respect!! Cheers
