  1. I am not 100% with you yet.  Schnitz is talking a lot of dropping in. Shoulders level, edging from hips and down. You are trying to keep this position from wake to ball?  Tsixam
  2. Ok I give in. I hate to admit it, I don´t understand. Can someone please explain what you are doing? Tsixam ÂÂÂÂ
  3. Even if i don´t make my hardest pass I sometimes shorten the rope anyway. I think it has helped me a lot to get to the next level. And when I get back to my hardest pass it seems to be much easier. Tsixam
  4. This is a sad day. We finally found what caused the problem with water in the oil. There is a hole between cylinder 7 and 8. So I need a new block or a new engine. Where can I get the best deal on a complete Pcm GT-40 or a new block?  Tsixam
  5. I have the same problem, but I have noticed that there is a pattern. At least in my case. If I ski very well one day, I often ski badly the day after. I think the reason is that I have too high expectation on my self and want to ski even better than the day before. Self 1? I think we are back to The Inner Game of Tennis…..Want to much….try too hard…not relaxed….  Tsixam
  6. With my trick skiing, solid in slalom and jump is not good enough. 180 point is my pb, which I never will beat. Tsixam
  7. Thanks MS, He hasn’t been skiing for 4-5 years but used to ski in to 38 at 36. Now he started again at 34 and has problems with 28. I think he needs a bigger ski. His weight is about 215, (no fat) and he says it feels like he has to work really hard to get out to the balls even at 22 off.  Tsixam
  8. A friend is still on the old yellow a 67 CR7, and in major a slump. He needs the factory settings badly. I can´t find it anywhere so we are going to try the X5 settings tomorrow.  Tsixam
  9. You can´t be serious! can you? I have been on trick skis once in a competition, got 180 points or so but was No 3 overall! Tsixam
  10. Thanks Brent. It is monday morning! I have been scrolling the site up and down several times and couldn´t find it. Tsixam
  11. I can´t find it. Where is it? Tsixam
  12. Boat driving is extremely important!  When boat driving or conditions are less then perfect or at least acceptable I stay away from my hardest passes and ski back to back instead. But slow times or a sloppy boat path can help you too. When I am working a new line length or if I have a “bad day†I sometimes ask for slow times because I believe it is better to ski a few balls more or the whole pass than getting dumped around no 1 every time. And a good driver can feel when I am in trouble (in practice) and letting me have some more line so I can make the pass or at least have a few balls more. But it has to be my choice! If I know that times are slow and the path is of center it doesn’t mess up my mind, but I really hate drives who are trying to be “kind†by slowing the times down and making me believe that it was actual.  When I am having a slump I sometimes even ask for fast times on my easy passes, then I slow down each line length a little until I get to my hardest passes which I ski a little slow. For me it is a good way to get out of a slump. But in competitions nothing less than perfect is acceptable.  Tsixam
  13. Ok, the one hand gate seems to be ruling. Two others and myself are still using the two handed gate. What is the biggest advantage using the one hand gate? I would like to know why it would be worth the time I have to spend to master it?  Tsixam
  14. I am married with a waterskiing wife and we have two kids. I have been waterskiing since I was about 14 years old but I didn’t try the course before I was 24, then after 6 balls I was an addict, and been ever since. I ski both 34 and 36. At 36 I ski into 38 and at 34, on a good day in to 39,1/2. The last three years I have been on a Sixam 1.0 , the red/blue and I believe it is the best ski in the world. (I do not believe in Santa).  When I am not waterskiing I am fly-fishing or working as a sales engineer or rebuilding our house but for the moment I am rebuilding a Ford GT-40 with a blown head gasket. I don´t know what else to write but feel free to ask if you want to know anything.  Tsixam
  15. Guys! DO NOT post anything in the photopages! Tsixam
  16. Thanks.  Yes I know what you are talking about I just didn´t know the different names for them, and the outcome from the Lee-gate I can acheive with any style.. Tsixam
  17. It would be very interesting to know what an Eric Lee gate looks like. And to be honest I don´t know what a Marcus gate or a Terry style is either. Is there a video some where? Tsixam
  18. We found water in the oil in our boat ( Ski Nautique GT-40) and it didn´t run well. When I removed the engine heads I found some water in 1 cylinder but I couldn’t really see if the gasket was blown but I think and hope that it is the reason. I also checked the exhaust and intake gaskets. What else cause can there be except cracks (God forbid) in the heads, the engine block and exhaust? Any suggestions?  Tsixam
  19. We have had good results with a another way to learn to ski the course. We usually tell beginners to skip the gate, turn no.1, ski inside 2, turn 3, ski inside 4, turn 5, ski inside 6 and through the exit gates. When they feel comfortable ,we tell them to ski around 1 and 2, inside 3, turn four, inside 5, turn 6 and through the exit gate. By doing it this way they don´t make so many mistakes when they don´t have the pressure of skiing the whole course, they can add bouys gradually and before they know it they have skied the whole course.
