Hey Joe, What kind of benefits, other than reduced weight, are there with making your binding plates out of G-10?

John,    Your forum is an environment that fosters the kind of conversation that you would expect to have at the starting dock. This is great, considering that we only really get to talk to a limited number of skiers on a day by day basis. I don't know how much you've had to patrol the forum to keep the discussion as though they were being had face to face, but the effort is not lost. I believe that this is the critical difference between ballofspray and a great number of other internet forums. On a positive note, it seems as though a good number of the equipment questions that used to be posted over at skifly have gone over to Kent's board or the waterskimag forum.

1. Flooding will knock out half your season if the stars align.  2. Don't screw with your setup if you're comfortable with your ski and you are already loosing half your season to high water. 3. I was way too relaxed in my lower body. (Sagging hips = weak upper body position = lost angle) *I got the Matt Rini tip: pretend you're pinching a quarter with your butt, only with no time to give it a shot. Damn weather!

What were you getting your Advantage handles for $45-50? I just love that Accurate sells a more limited product line at nearly twice the price.

Factory length should be 6.77 (tips) Drafts? I find them to be very comfortable. Some people don't though, so you have to try. They are very stiff from side to side, but for what it's worth they allow a ton of ankle deflection forward. I don't feel like they push your knees as far forward as the HO Approach, but my cables might not be as tight as others. Personally I ski with a Draft in the front and an 06 Vision in the rear. (I honestly can't explain why, but it was suggested to me to slow down the turn) ÂÂÂÂ

Ask Chris Rossi (skitek.net) If I remember right he started using the System 8 as his rough water ski, and just stayed with it full time. He should be able to give you a good rundown.
