  1. @CParrish43 - Thanks for the update, we've been wondering how you were doing down here at Okeeheelee. Glad to hear you're making good progress. See you soon, maybe our September record? Hope I'm driving :)
  2. @Razorskier1 - Just skied the Florida State tournament and Performance Ski from Orlando had a tent there. He looked up the boots and they have two Right size 11 Vapor boots (with plate) in stock (he had the stock guy go and check) available. Give them a call tomorrow if you still want one and tell them you got the info from me (Roger Clark).
  3. @Howa1500 - you will love the boat. We hosted the 2014 States here at Okeeheelee and I found myself driving a 2014 MB. We don't see them often in South Florida, so I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't driven one since 2011. It drove great IMO, I pulled several Master Men into 41 with that boat and had no issue with tracking. Enjoy!
  4. The rules committee are looking at this thread.
  5. After a long conversation with an x rules committee member, we think the 6 at 38 is probably correct as a perfect pass includes the exit gates. However, we both feel 6 at 39 SHOULD be the score and he is contacting the rules committee to look into this scenario.
  6. I disagree, his score is 6 at 10.75 with no continuation. There is nothing in the rule about having to exit the gates to gain the opt pass. 6 is 6 and therefor he should be awarded the previous pass(es). If the rules committee wants the opt up to not count on a 6 no continue, then it needs to be clearly stated in the rule and it's not.
  7. Here is the rule: 2. The end gate case is different because of the spacing and thus if the skier can cross the gate line before the end gate buoy he will be awarded the full buoy. a. This specifically means that the skier is permitted to have slack going through the exit gates. If the skier skis away then he may continue. b. If the skier does not ski away, the turn ends and the skier scores 6 provided they crossed the line of the boat buoys before the end gate with or without a slack line. Based on the rule, and the description of his run, he should be scored 6 no continuation AND be credited with the opt up. I have checked with our local Clinic administrator and he agrees. The rule makes no mention of the skier needing to get out the gates.
  8. The other thing to check would be the prop. Make sure it's the one the current promo boats are using.
  9. Sorry I missed meeting another Baller. I attend most, if not all, of the Palm Bay tournaments and can be found either driving, judging or skiing.
  10. I used B2 on the old 2 puck 5.7 and 6.0 Ski Nautiques. I use B2 on everything except the new 5.3/6.2 SN where I use B1. I just feel the new engine single puck combination is slightly firmer than the old setup. I'm still using B2 on the Centurion with single puck, but they have not switched to the 5.3 or 6.2 yet (the one I ski behind is a 6.0), so I don't know if that will be a factor or not. In the last tournament at Okeeheelee that I skied, I ran 3.5@35 behind all three hulls (5.7 MC with 2 pucks, 6.0 Centurion with 1 puck, 5.3 Ski Nautique with 1 puck). If you include the Malibu, all 4 boats are pretty great these days and we have to get really picky to find issues...
  11. Got to meet Ellie Horton this weekend at the Palm Bay tournament. She did admit to being related to John... Anyway, I didn't get to pull her as I pulled Open men while Gordon West pulled Open Women, however I did get to boat judge one of her rounds and got to see her ski. She has very good technique and skied into the 12 meter line every round. Very sweet (and very attractive) young lady and I'm glad I got a chance to meet her.
  12. From your description of the feel and the flat RPM, it sounds like you have the very first version of the ZO software released with the 5.3 single puck package. I'd get the latest software loaded if I were you.
  13. When they did one of the Big Dawg stops in Denver, the 5.7 was unable to get consistent times. The 5.7 in the SN200 is quite a bit slower to speed than the 6.0 (or either of the current engine offerings). If you're at higher altitude and/or have a short setup, you will be much better off with the 6.0 vs. the 5.7. Another plus for the 6.0 over the 5.7 is that is has a closed cooling system (heat exchanger vs. pulling lake water through the engine). The 6.0 uses slightly less fuel than the 5.7 as well. My experience skiing behind both engines matches what @BRY said above, the 6.0 just feels smoother (better) to me.
  14. @Howa1500 - Sorry, both of the 200s on the board at Okeeheelee are closed bow. You asked earlier in the thread about the differences between the 2010 and later models. Really not much between them. I'd still give Jeff Smith a call at Silver Spray Sports in Michigan, he will treat you right.
  15. I'll get you the info when I ski tonight. Okeeheelee is in the West Palm Beach area (about 3 hours South of Orlando).
  16. What are you looking to spend? There are two or three 200s for sale on the Okeeheelee starting dock cork board. I can make note of the details tonight and let you know if you haven't made a purchase yet.
  17. @RazorRoss3 - pm to me (if that's possible, never tried sending anything).
  18. I tried the new numbers this weekend. I had already moved the bindings forward to the 29.75 point and really liked the difference from the 29.5 Brooks set it at when I purchased the ski at our last Nationals (Okeeheelee). So I started at: 67 29 1/2 2.460 6.960 0.735 9 Saturday, I changed to: 67 29 3/4 2.460 6.960 0.750 9 For me, this was not that great. I skied three sets this way and found the on-side turn to be less predictable than the .735 DFT setting, but the off-side was better with less overturn tendency. So, I decided to (roughly) split the difference with: 67 29 3/4 2.460 6.960 0.741 9 This returned the predictable feel of the on-side and the off-side still feels great. I've been averaging 3.5@35 lately and on my 2nd set yesterday ran 4.5@35 (with the .750 setting I averaged 2.5@35). I'm a happy camper with these settings. My driver for these changes (Lee Marshon) told me this is the best he's felt me ski to date with the least effect on the boat (2016 MC). The team behind this ski may be the best ever
  19. @OB1 - Are you at Okeeheelee today? If the rain quits, I'll be out by 4:30...
  20. BTW, I also believe we need something better for the gates. This gate shot was so close and in real time happens so fast, it's very hard for a normal human to judge at all. So, in this case Nate gains maybe a 2 inch advantage over the ski centerline being on the buoy centerline, not much if it's an advantage at all. And while we're looking at gate rules, does anyone else think it's totally silly to zero someone's gate if they miss to the INSIDE???
  21. For anyone who doesn't think this was a miss, here is a magnified view:
  22. 2010 OB 200 in Fenton MI for 48K (only 80 hours): 2010-CORRECT-CRAFT-Ski-Nautique-200-Team-Edition-Open-Bow Jeff Smith of Silver Spray Sports is an awesome dealer!
