  1. @buechsr I was thinking the same thing. If it was a skiers first and then belonged to a ski school. This boat has been put to the test. Although most of the team skiers try to keep the boats up. It is often not a maintained as someone who pays for the boat. Then to a ski school. All bets are off. I agree that is a pretty critical assessment of a 2004 boat.
  2. @Horton don’t put your deep water starts on the video. We can probably critique that too. I think the ski looks pretty good. Obviously you jump back and forth on a number of skis and once you find you spot on the ski the passes will improve. I watched all of the videos and you look like you have plenty of space and time at each buoy. Never a doubt you were going to run 38. You also seem to be connected to the pylon and boat at all passes and both onside and offside turns. Looking forward to watching you after you dial it in. In my experience if the ski looks awesome at 32 off it’s not going to work at 39
  3. @Stefan

I currently ride the 67.25 Revo CC. I was on a revolution prior to the carbon core. I have ridden all of the skis in the lineup and this is the best way I can describe each ski.

Revocc is most stable and effortless ski for its additional width. The ski is just a little wider throughout than the 9970. So these two skis have very similar characteristics

Its width contributes to easy deep water starts and stability throughout

Skier can accelerate, decelerate, turn and accelerate almost automatically on Revocc. I enjoy the Revo CC because it has a large sweet spot and is very stable.

9970cc needs more power to ski than Revocc due to the narrow width.

If skier who wants to have direct feeling such as edging, acceleration or deceleration, 9970cc gives that feeling more than Revocc. The 9970 is based off of the tradition lines of Goode skis starting back from the 9100. These skis have been the foundation of the Goode skis lineup.

Skillful skiers tend to choose 9970 and we have seen great results with the 9970 CC for both 34 and 36 mph skiers.

And XTRcc is between Revocc and 9970cc and gives moderate control to the skier. The XTR has a wider width and a shorter body. Very stable ski known for its quick turns. This ski is based upon the previous Nano one and has been a very successful ski across the board for all levels of skiers.

All of the new carbon core skis have a narrow side wall which allow each of the skis to sit deeper in the water while maintaining the quickness cross course. With the bevels and narrow side walls all of the skies allow the skier the feeling of a better connection to the pylon.

  4. I agree with @horton. Drivers need to practice with the skier. If you trust them enough to pull you then they are good enough to keep them in between the boat guides. @Horton has a great idea here. It would really be cool if you could somehow split the screen and see where the skier is relative to the movements on the wheel. Obviously hard to tell from the video but looks like she is reacting to the skier. Should now work on being a touch more proactive and a little less movement on the wheel.
  5. @ScarletArrow The flip side of not allowing more skiers this year would result in less entries and less revenue for the sponsoring club for the vendors that pay a fee to have their products onsite and available for sale. With a decrease in the number of tournaments and opportunities for those who aspire to qualify would certainly result in less attendance if we don’t have a plan. While I can certainly respect @MISkier decision not to attend. We don’t have a ton of sights willing to host the nationals. Create a year when the hosting club loses money and that list will become even less than it is today. Bottom line is the more participation we have at nationals and regionals during such an unusual time in the world the better. Come one come all let the best of the day win and the organizers will win as well. I think that’s the best case scenario for this year
  6. I was referring to a privately owned non ?romo boat. Do away with the promo program as suggested then the price of the boats will increase because they won’t be sold at promo pricing. So if a non promo person pays retail for the boat do you think they will all want to use them for tournaments. The reason boats don’t flip now is because people don’t want to pay for new boats each year. Obviously my opinion but I think the manufacturers need to stay in the game and we as an organization and as tournament organizers can do something for the promo guys willing to invest their money and provide the boats for events.
  7. @dave2ball is right. There is no way using privately owned boats will work for Nationals and some multi sight regional events. When Nationals is fortunate enough to be at Okeeheelee then you could potentially be using 4 lakes at one time. I think each manufacturers have to provide 5-6 boats for Nationals. @6_Buoys while it sounds easy I can tell you. Getting that many boats to Nationals is not that easy for these manufacturers and would be much more difficult for individuals. The boats have to be there the weekend before the Nationals starts and stay till near the end. While I don’t know the answer I do not believe completely relying on private owners to pick up the slack is not the answer. People get pretty worked up about hours on a boat as it is
  8. I agree with @LLUSA you need to pull the sanction and take the scores. I am not aware of many events where the organization has done anything to the drivers other than talk about it and not follow thru. It has to be a combination of both. People spend good money to ski a record tournament that is downgraded to an F. They will think twice about paying that again if they aren’t sure the drivers will do their best to provide a legitimate pull. What’s the point of end course if upon review the path is determined to be consistently out of tolerance and nothing is done about it. As Lyman mentioned there were several chief officials that didn’t do their jobs. Do they get a pass. There’s a boat judge sitting in the seat was the boat is bobbing and weaving. Are they not just as liable as the driver?? Most of the event I go to are just like @LLUSA boat path video is where everyone can see it. I can assure you after pulling big scores @LLUSA @Jody_Seal and myself usually go immediately look at it to see what we can do better
  9. @matthewbrown I certainly agree with your comments. Turn the camera off and I can certainly get you at least 6 buoys maybe more if I skied with you enough to know your rhythm. @JackQ whether this was done with good timing or not it sure appears to be done with the intent of aiding the skier. I would say that this certainly seems to be the definition of “pattern driving”. We can all get out of sync with a skier and when it happens I will always do my best to not hurt the skier. But it seems that this was a conscious effort to aid the skier. Someone is supposed to be assigned to monitor end course during a record event. Were the judges not watching? Interested to hear from someone in authority what the opinion of the organization is regarding how these scores are effecting the standings list.
  10. I am not sure there is a flowdown effect from sponsoring and promoting 3 event skiing these days. Most of the big 3 can’t build the wakeboard and wakesurf boats fast enough. I can tell you with the current production schedules it is hard to get a production slot to build a three event boat because of the demand of the more expensive and profitable models. The individuals buying these wakeboard and wakesurf boats don’t know or care that there is a 3 event boat or that it is pulling tournaments. The only care about the size of the wake it will throw
