  1. @AdamCord - Thank you so much for the info you provided, binding position has been a mistery for me. I have small feet (US 8.5) and moved my R-style one hole back (about 1.2" apart now), my heel side - which has been my weak side - improved a lot.

@Horton - I know it doesn´t count, but made my training PB this week, 6@39 and no, I did not shorten it to 41 (I´m stupid I know)

  2. Here in Brazil all gasoline are E25, that´s right 25% ethanol. I estimate I probably run about 5000 hours in my last 3 or 4 boats in the last 20 years. The only problem I noticed were with the gas pumps, I would say they last about 1000 hours. My current 2010 Nautique 200/409 has 750 hours on it and is fine so far - I do have the spare pumps, just in case...
  3. Start skiing with the XT about 10 days ago. Our water is kind of cold and fast now in our winter, so I did not expect big scores. First pass, factory settings, could not run 28off. After 2 attempts decided to stop and try the same settings I was using in my Nano One (reflex/R-style 27.75", 6.800, 2.510, 0.750, 9.0). Note the boots 1" back from stock

I skied about the same with the XT using the One numbers (mid to deep 38) . The following days I tried to move the bindings forward and the XT began to get alive, kept moving the bindings forward to Goodes´ sugestion of 28.75" and the ski just rocks now. Yesterday tried 4 times 38off and run all of them! Last pass almost got to 4@39. Considering how cold and fast our water is right now that´s a big score for me.

  4. @patmaster - I tried double Reflex, at least for me it was impossible to ski with them. I've been skiing the last 2 years with Reflex / R-Style, perfect combination, FYI before that I skied many years with Double Powershells, but became tired of the boots / dual lock manteinance.
  5. @aswinter - My gate is 2 handed. I have a lot to improve, but thats what I try to do:

Start my pull out when the boat is about 1 boat before the 55. I go really easy to the outside until the bouy line and just cruise there for a while keeping my handle close to my hips and staying tall on the ski, thinking on pressure my front foot. When the boat is about 2m before the gates I start to turn in slowly and progressive, trying to have my strongest position behind the boat.

  6. Thank you all for the suggestions. I guess I am giving up the independent buoy course, the only reason I wanted to make it is because I thought a floating course could not be "record approved". @David Miller sent me a link of a approved IWSF floating course project (page 71)

We already have 3 floating courses (stainless and wood) and it is pretty easy to adjust them as the water varies 12" over a year. I will make a new one using the IWSF project and @David Miller suggestions (stainless + aluminum arms)

@Ed Obermeier - I would love to have one of your courses but unfortunatly the international freight/custom duties makes the cost too high.

    Thank you all !!!
