For the Canon DSLR I think he meant the Rebel T1i which shoots HD video. A useful site for tech comparisons is : http://www.dpreview.com/ or http://www.steves-digicams.com/ Since you have lenses its very hard to beat the features and quality of the DSLR shooting through good large glass (or plastic as most are now) for stills. Would also give you a lot of options for composing video. I have not shot video yet w/ a Canon DSLR so I can't comment on image stabilization which would be a must for our application. Go to the shops and try them all, test the image stabilization and if buying a small camera to do video check the ability to zoom while shooting video, many can't do it optically, they do it digitaly which isn't the best quality. The dpreivew site did a review of waterproof cameras last year. Don't recall if any had image stabilization but they could shoot 720p video at 30fps. Happy hunting.

You bring up a good point Scott. Maybe its the insert that is putting pressure on my foot in areas that I am not used to. My FM liners didn't come w/ one and I never added them. -Rod

I feel pressure in the arch where the boot footbed has a raised area for the center screw insert and a couple spots on the bottom sides, cant remember exactly where unless I put them on. I figured the spots where there is a insert will correct themselves as the liner compresses over time.

I recently picked up a new set of RS1 bindings and after 4 sets I think I got the wrong size. I sized up in the shop as they did not have any left over size 9s and the 10s felt fine and snug when dry. We molded them in the store. After 2 sets they felt quite loose yet they still had pressure points that were bothering me. I tried a pair of thick hiking socks and it helped snug up the foot but I still think I have too much room in front of the toe both for width and length. They seemed to take quite a bit of pressure to release. I don't have the laces very tight and on the rear just snug. When I wore socks my feet slipped right out of the liners. I actually liked this from a safety standpoint and wonder what the downside is. For reference I'm coming from FM double hardshells and so far I'm liking the softer feel, I believe it is making the ski less sensitive. The FM's were very comfortable however, snug all over without pressure points. I am only a 15 off skier but can run 22 on the occasional good day. My questions: If I go back to swap down from 10 to 9 I will have to go w/ the Strada's. Are they sized similarly or has anyone found a difference between the two? How long does it take to fully break them in while skiing and work out any pressure points? I remember reading about someone wearing sock liners to make it easier to get in to on the 2nd set when everything was wet, how does that affect the release? Thanks

Wow, great stuff guys. Thanks. I do not have any of the nylon washers. The screws they gave me have heads that are large and flat so they eliminate the need for the cone type washer. I will put a thin nylon washer under them anyway to allow for more movement when tight than the metal washer to metal plate would allow. I'm all set, thanks again.

Thanks Roger, do you leave the front & rear screws a little loose? I that think instead of using the washers on the top they gave me large flat pan-head style screws.

I just bought a pair of leftover RS1 bindings and have some questions about how the plate should mount. At the shop they gave me small t-nut style washers for the front and rear and he said to put them on the underside of the plate. When installed this way and the pan-head screws snugged down I don't see how it allows the plate to slide. I would expect that there should be a nylon washer under the screw head or the nut should be on the top allowing the nylon on the bottom of the plate to rest on the ski. Does anyone have a good close up picture of how it should be set-up or a diagram from a manual? The Radar site has no info that I can find. Thanks.

Neighbors boat lost a prop blade on the 3rd pass this AM. Coming out of the hole.. bang. '05 MC 197 non-slot, original prop, just under 300 hours. Scarred up the bottom of the boat as it left the scene. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Use blue painters tape. I know you can get it at least 2" wide. It's cheap and comes off easy w/out residue. Use 2 layers if your worried about scratching through it.  As long as you trim it straight and just longer than you need it shouldn't look too bad.

Whats the best product for vinyl repair? I'm starting to get small cracks at each thread stitching hole on the back where we step in/out on the ski storage door/cover. Thanks

The foam sound insulation on my '05 MC197 is coming apart and falling into the bilge. Has anyone had to address this and if so did you get something different than factory replacement? What type of adhesive did you use? RTV silicone seems like the obvious choice. Thanks -Rod A.ÂÂ

If you were building a lake expecting fully balasted wakeboarders what can you do to protect the shoreline? Plant lots of water happy grass/plants? You obviously don't want bulkhead. More large rock? RAL's lake in Chili looked pretty good but would wakeboard wakes move the rock?
