  1. The Universal Ramp was "The Bomb"! 5' 10", 24' 6" Long, More surface, Safer and more fun. We did a sample on it and it was perfect for all levels of skiers. It was good for beginners and pros. Amateur Ski Fly was the most fun I have ever had. Thanks to Scot Ellis, hosting a ski fly clinic in 2000, I kept on jumping. After moving to Men 4 in 1999, I was going to retire from jumping. The 30 MPH speed, No faster second segment made for a hairy approach to the ramp and hard landings and worse ride outs. We campaigned for 32 MPH, Faster Second Segments and got it. I kept on jumping and still enjoy it. I miss Ski Fly, That kept the adrenaline flowing for several years. I really think that the people against it were just too lazy to extend their ramps. It did not take a special boat to pull amateur ski fly. The speeds were increased 5 mph without a second segment time and you just never saw any "out-the backs" and very few non ride outs. The longer ropes made the approach much better. Jody was pulling me the first time I tried it behind a bad-a%% boat. The red and white lightning was like grabbing a tiger by the tail. So much fun. We ended up ordering a red/white/ blue Malibu with an 8.2 Chevy in it. WOW! We had some major fun. All ages, Big Smiles!
  2. I am on a 2014 A-3 66.5". It is amazing. At first, I thought it would be draggy, but, after I went through the gates the first time, I knew different. The ski, not only accelerates like a bullet, It bleeds off it's speed and is condusive to keeping a tight line like no other that I have tried. I was on a 67" Lemonted Edition and this is way better IMHO. Worth a try.
  3. I thought the Co-Ex SL was the most fun that I ever had on a ski. I had big smooth school bus turns at 28. At 32 it started coming around like a A series. At 35 it smoked, early and wide. I ran through 4@38 first and only time. It was a friend's ski and he sold it to another friend. I may pick one up just to keep at the lake house. Highly Recommend !
  4. The TXI'S use a 6.0 Liter 405 HP for jump in the Pro and Higher level Tournaments. They are great, there is a fuel usage misconception that goes with them. Contrary to popular belief, they don't use any more fuel than a 5.7 Liter Monsoon at 34 MPH. I'll have one (a 2012 available) this fall.
  5. The Strada was too fast for me. I skied great some days but I never could keep a tight line with a tailwind. If you want easy on your body, it's hard to beat a Strada. I went down to a 66 and had better luck, but ultimately I went back to the HO's and am now on an A-3 66.5. Luv it! 6'0", 184.
