  1. Wish, what have you learned from the individual who is one of the primary people involved?
  2. Yes, I have heard the same thing. I sure would like to hear from someone that is familiar with the testing.
  3. I just installed the SG. Still waiting on the ice. I will purchase the upgrade the day it becomes available. I am thinking with the better power to weight ration the boat will be more responsive than the heavy boats with ZO. Until they lighten the new boats up and increase H.P. SG may a more accurate system using some of the older boats.
  4. Anyone directly involved or know someone that is? I would really like to know how the project is progressing. I feel I have the ideal set-up for the upgrade 1997 Ski Nautique with the GT-40, better power to weight ratio than most newer boats.
  5. STRADA 2010 & 2011, RS-1, Monza, Phantom, VTX, Extreme, Mach-1, Competitor, World Team Comp, Wood Comp, Torque, Kimbell, and others that came out of the shed. Love my STRADA. I also have 2011 Senate waiting for me to try. My son has the Vice and my wife has the new Lyric/Senate. No, I am not brand loyal, it just appears that way! I try all makes and models of skies. I ski better on RADAR. Right now I am sitting at Ice Station Zebra or least it feels that way. I am on the Arctic Coast of Alaska doing my time in the oil field. There is still a few feet of ice on my Lake in Wasilla, Alaska so I am sitting hear going crazy working and waiting. Most of you have no idea how good you have it getting on the water this early. My last ski ride was on my STRADA on Lake Caldnazzo, Italy with the Degasperi family, October 4th 2010. Skiing in Italy is second to none.
  6. If you are using the sequence plate with Strada boots, I suggest when you have the rear boot off the plate that you make a reference line 90 degrees across the plate where the back of the front boot sits on the plate. Use the upper set of stitching on the back of the boot to make the reference line. The next time you want to measure, all you have to do is use the reference line and you will not have to remove the plate and rear boot.
  7. What is Schnitz trying to say? I respect the man tremendously and all his contributions. But I am concerned. Will all the pros be running 43 off now and they will all finish in a tie using this new ski and we amateurs will all be able to ski with the pros side by side. Sounds like the end of waterskiing is near. I just lost 25 lbs and spent the winter in the gym. I wish I would have known all I needed was this new magic ski. I feel cheated.
  8. This is old but good! Dear Friend, I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice. I have suspected for some time now that my wife was cheating on me. The usual signs: the phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with "the girls" a lot recently, although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them.." I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. Around midnight, I decided to hide next to the garage behind my boat so I could get a good view of the whole street when she arrived home from a night out with "the girls". When she got out of the car she was buttoning up her blouse, which was open, and she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on. It was at that moment, crouching behind the boat, where I stored my new slalom ski that I noticed a hairline crack in the ski where the top meets the side of the ski just under the front binding. Is this something I can fix myself or will I need to send it back to factory for repair? Signed, Concerned WaterSkier
  9. I have both the 2010 and 2011 Strada. I never give up my Herb O'Brien Green Skis.
  10. Don't worry about it, you are not an ass. All of us that ski the STRADA could have explained the difference a little more definitively. Trust Eddie.
  11. This will easily be cleared up. As MS said, Eddie is RADAR. You cannot expect the customer service people to know the finer details between the 2010 and 2011 Strada. Ask for Eddie Roberts next time you call.
  12. 47 and feeling younger everyday.
  13. Did you use the mini vw and the factory wing together or just the mini? I know you don't use a wing so this is the last question on wings you'll hear from me.
  14. Horton, When you tried the mini vw at the end on the Strada, did you think it forced the tip down on the off side turn?
  15. You have to be careful what you ask for on this site, you just might get it!
  16. RS-1 was kind of like the 2 wheel drive Porsche 911 RS in Horton analogy. Very fast but, you needed to be a very skilled driver.
  17. Big difference between the RS-1 and STRADA. I will let the experts like Horton explain.
  18. How about attaching the source file packaged with the model to open in AutoCAD.
  19. Actually there were quit a few early R&D Strada's that had an RS-1 top. A close look reveals the Strada's molded top shape.
  20. Any one finish better than 13th at moomba using the vw?
  21. The better the design of the ski, the less wings required.
  22. The Reds start running the 3rd week in July. If you come Alaska to go Salmon fishing, come ski with us.
  23. Ice is close to 4 ft on my lake in Wasilla Alaska. It will all be gone by May 10th.
  24. After hearing Horton's initial impression, I am beginning to wonder if Goode Skis are the only ones that need all these extra gizmos.
