  1. I received my LFF fin about 3 weeks ago, mounted it on my HO VT-R. This time of year, I am lucky to get out to ski 1-2x/week. Previously to this CG fin, my typical average score was about -22@32 mph. In the last week, I have 5 full passes at -22@34 mph, and scored 4@-28/34mph 3x, and 5@-28/34mph 1x! I am really excited about this change. My ski finishes under the line with a ton of angle and what I feel to be less load. I am going to try it on my HO Pro next week, see how that feels. Thanks @AdamCord !
  2. Out of curiosity...what is the general consensus on why trailer companies seem to have gone away from the bow crash pad design, and have gone with the front roller design? I have never had any issues with our old DHM with bow crash pads on steep or shallow ramps with our '99.
  3. @MS we owned a lot at Southern Waters for about 6-years, but only made it down (from Washington State/Seattle) 4x in that 6-yr period. We purchased the lot for $27K, FSBO, sold it 6-yrs later for $25,500. Great people down there, but seemed like it wasn't being kept up quite as well as when we first purchased in 2007. As it was, the site skied great, and beautiful countryside on your way out to the lake. Can't beat the price out there.
  4. I think innovation is a great thing, even if that innovation is at a price point out of us average-joe's market. As far as price point goes, look at the Mapple Edition 200's, even with a limited number built, they were sold. Another point as well, usually "new" innovation will make it down to the average market at some point in the future...that is, if it is beneficial to the design. Either way, it will be fun to watch the developments as they come!
  5. I will really miss Waterski mag. Unfortunately, I had paid up my subscription for two years, and I just received notice that "they are sorry for the cancellation of the magazine, but in it's place, are sending me Boating magazine for the remainder of my subscription." .I really have no need for Boating magazine, looking at yachts and fishing boats. Very disappointing...
  6. I have bought a ski, and sold (probably) 5 skis, as well as bindings on SIA. I have never been bitten, and like mentioned up above by @LeonL , I have also shipped before receiving a check. I have since gone with PayPal to receive payment, even though I haven't had a negative experience previously. I have found everyone that I have dealt with very honest and positive. Best of luck! :)
  7. @Horton check out the Green Mountain brand of pellet grill. My understanding is this: Traeger has been sold a few times, now mostly constructed out of the USA. Some of the original Traeger employees started Green Mountain, and perfected all of the little details "missing" from the Traeger brand.
  8. @BCM I have a '99 GT-40 SN, and like mentioned above, I disconnect the hose going from the transmission to the cooler (at the cooler), put an extension hose to drop through the drain plug hole in the bilge, with a pan below to catch. Seems to get more than I have been able to via a pump at the transmission dip stick.
