@LOTW I know Dave (owner of Hoglunds. The older covers that were made up here in the PNW that look very similar were often made by Cover Sports. I believe they went out of business. The company that Dave bought the patterns from was Rankin Covers. Dave markets their new covers under Craft Covers. Same high quality, reinforced, towable, doesnt sag at all. Great product, great guy/company (i have known him since grade school). He really produces a great product and stands behind his workmanship.

Dave at Hoglunds bought the Rankin templates a few years back, and now makes these covers (towable) and they are the best that I have found! Yep, same thing happened last year with our 1999 SN w/GT 40. Replaced both fuel pumps, FCC filter, as well as the relays, and hasn't happened since.

I know he was definitely an anomaly, but I loved Jamie's gates from back in the day...

@Wiltok, I personally agree. We have a 1999 SN, and I like it to be up to temperature before pushing the torque. 140* would be about where we sit.

I installed a Perko Flush Pro about 8 yrs ago, and mine just started to leak at the junction between the garden hose inlet and the plastic body of the Flush Pro. I will replace it with a brass ball valve with a female garden hose fitting instead. The Flush Pro just seemed cheap and poorly made (especially for the price). 1999 Ski Nautique

Works 02 is awesome. Came from the Omega V.2 (which is also a great ski IMHO), but feel that the Works 02 builds better angle into the whitewater, and feels a touch more predictable and intuitive. I also feel that my weight naturally stays more neutral with the Works vs. the Omega. I have tried a lot of other "wider skis" through the years, and never felt that I could roll them over onto edge well, as if they were just wide enough that it restricted my ability to edge well. With The Works 02, first set, I could roll it onto edge like any other narrower ski, which was one of the first things I noticed. I also noticed that upon my pullout into glide, I was WAY wider on the 2/4/6 buoy line than with my Omega v.2. The 02 is a great ski, especially if you have loved your Omega.

Anyone have any info on La Bella Vida ski community around Caldwell Idaho? I have seen the website, tried to contact them through the site but haven't heard back from them.

Hey Ballers, Just wondering who might be out in the forum who skis at the Lakes of Katy (Texas), or August Lakes (also Katy Texas)? My wife and I have been looking around that area online, and I am interested in any of the particulars of the area (what the lake community is like? What the demographics of the area are like, such as the schools, the community/city/county are like? Work and social life, etc.) Any feedback would be appreciated! Todd

I am posting this for a BOS reader, Ed K., Mens 7 Skier and Hilltop Member: (Per Ed): "I had a recent issue with my 2+ yr. old Syndicate Pro. I contacted Dave Wingerter, VP for HO, hoping for some direction/recommendation on repairing it. Long story short, I'm now riding a new Syndicate ski, no cost to me, full warranty! Unbelievable product support from Dave and Team Syndicate!"

@lpskier I just went to a hardware store, and bought a 6" (1/2" wide) piece of aluminum stock, and use that as a spacer between the ski and my wing angle guages. Inexpensive and works great.

Hey Ballers, anyone have any knowledge of La Bella Vida ski/building site outside of Boise in Caldwell Idaho? Just wondering if there is a contact person in regards to building sites available, prices, etc. Thanks! Todd

@BrianKennedy91 I just had the additional 2.0 collar shipped to me as well. So, I can accommodate either (newer) pylon or my 99 pylon. We also ski behind a 2020 SN, so I use both. Loosen two hex screws,and remove the center hex, and you can swap them out.

I think for our 1999 SN pylon I am using the 2.0 Ski Doc collar. It is a bit "awkward" as the pylon does taper a bit up to the rope slot, but it does work. The rope fingers of the SkiDoc are just long enough if you clamp it below that taper of the pylon.

Has anyone tried -22 rope length with maybe a 35 off setting on the micro tuners?

I have a 99 SN with the GT40, and it came with the 4 blade OJ 13x13

@JAS , I would say the same of our GT40 in our 99 SN. Runs much "happier" on non-ethanol, and, it wasn't until I started using an ethanol unleaded that I started having fuel system issues the very next season (fuel pump failure). Maybe coincidence, maybe not.

HOPE (b/c everyone who buys a new ski is buying "HOPE" for better scores!)

@seveet Nice Find! We have a 1999 SN GT40, and LOVE IT! I have buddies that routinely ski behind newer boats from all brands, and they will often say, "NEVER sell this boat, it has the best wakes of all of them combined!" Now, with that being said, it does have its quirks, and obviously some compromise of interior space compared to some newer 20' inboards. I just had to replace my low and high pressure fuel pumps (one inside the FCC, and the one just below the FCC), but other than that, it has been nearly without issue. After looking at your video, I looked at our engine box, and I agree, it looks like yours has been moved to the stern somewhat, as there is less clearance in the front to your lower part of the clam shell. (FWIW)
