  1. I just started using a latex swim sock by Speedo, for my rear Wiley binding. It has made a huge difference, and is thin enough for me to be confident that I could still exit the binding if necessary with a front hardshell release. I found them on Amazon (just search Speedo latex swim sock). Super inexpensive as well (like $10).
  2. @AdamCord absolutely beautiful day out there at Hilltop with you guys. Also, just in case anyone was wondering, @AdamCord into -41 in those 39* water conditions! The rest of us are at least skiing with something covering our head...
  3. @MISkier I do the same thing, and then at 34 mph count to 18 sec to see if a course could fit there! :)
  4. @Rednucleus i find myself driving down the road trying to stay exactly in the middle of the lane
  5. I am posting this for a friend (Ed), as he wanted to be sure to give thanks and credit for top notch customer service: Ed's Words: I recently had a repair issue with one of my Radar Vapor bindings, and I messaged Darren Wiley, who I have done business with for many years. Darren reviewed my purchase records, and noted that I may not have purchased this binding from Wiley's (as they were a gift from a family member). Despite the situation, he contacted Trevor at Radar, and within 48 hrs., I received a replacement binding on my porch! Thank you so much to Darren and Trevor for your prompt product support. YOU GUYS ROCK! Sincerely, Ed K., Hilltop Member, Mens 7 Skier
  6. Seems that I will have to ski less just due to the sheer volume of crap we have to deal with for our Small Business and the financial impacts that have come because of all of this.
  7. I use a neo O'Neill beanie, then use a fleece balaclava over that. Keeps my ears and cheeks warm without disturbing your hearing, and the balaclava also keeps the neo beanie on the case of a fall.
  8. @So_I_Ski I couldnt agree more. My wife has gone full vegan, and the times I have followed her eating habits, I have to honestly say it is the best I have felt. Being in the Medical and Fitness industry my entire career, it is very enlightening the poor information that circulates around regarding protein and sourcing. For all of you Ballers that might be interested in trying the concept, I would also recommend looking into doing a "Daniel Fast" for 30-40 days, which in large part is going plant based, and taking sugar and refined products out of your diet. Try it for the 30-40 days, and take an honest inventory of how you "feel." Plant based may not be for everyone, but, it is worth a very honest attempt at a trial before forming your opinion.
  9. @KRoundy I have the HO Syndicate hardshell front, Wiley's highwrap rear. I really like the setup, and feels like a very safe option as I have not had any awkward issues with it. It would be a very viable option.
  10. @RichardDoane my 1990 Brendella Shortline was my first inboard ski boat that I owned, and so it is a pleasure to contribute to the Horton Restoration! I had taken it off my old '99 and replaced it with a solid teak platform (w/o the slot-holes), and had all intentions of someday making the old platform a bench seat or something. This will have far more significance to be on Jack's boat!
  11. Contact Dave at Craft Covers (www.craftcovers.com) He purchased Rankin Covers, and he is phenomenal to work with! He made a custom cover for our 99 SNOB, and I couldnt be happier. Towable cover, taught fit.
  12. @DavidN quick question, can you tell me if the "classic" had the wing slot moved down away from the ski (like the Denali CG fin)? I used the CG fin and had to use a 3/4" metal spacer to use my wing guages.
  13. @Garn yes, I have skied a Syndicate Omni. It is a phenomenal ski too, but I do like the dynamics of the Omega better.
  14. @jetpilotg4 great looking Nautique BTW!
  15. My first inboard Ski Brendella I bought when I was 25. When I towed it home, I slept in a sleeping bag, in the boat, in a grocery store parking lot, for fear someone might steal it! Looking back on it now, I was at more risk than the $15K boat! :)
  16. @PurdueSkier @coach3 contact @savaiusini and have him get you one to demo!
  17. @PurdueSkier that is a tough one on comparison to the S2 (as it was so many yrs ago and a lot of time and R&D has occurred since then). S2 was a great ski, and was the first ski I felt really consistent on in the course. I feel that the Omega has so many attributes that I have liked between all the skis in-between. All I can say thus far is this, I feel really confident in the 8-sets I have been on the Omega to have me skiing into my PB. I don't feel hesitant at all to load into it coming into CL, and, I feel.it gives me really great feedback as I try to change my body position without punishing me. Hope that helps. I think you would be pleasantly impressed with this ski!
  18. On a 67" and love it! I feel it is really a great ski for me and what I need. Very predictable, stable coming at apex and all the way through CL. Gets across course really well for a wide and early setup. Having rode all from S2, VT-R, VTX, Pro, and Alpha prior, I feel this is the best ski I have been on by far.
  19. @wawaskr yeah Matt, that is Hilltop. And, Gordon is one of the best driver's around! :)
