  1. This has worked for me in the past. A little better than the neoprene as I have tried those too. I'm hoping mine doesn't flare up again this year. Oh, I'm talking golfers, & or, tennis elbow. Might be different than what you have going.  http://banditelbowbrace.com/ 3 years ago was the first time and I couldn't get rid of it. In the off season I rehab'd a little and basically rested for 5 months as we can't ski around here in the winter. The following year nothing. Great, thought it was behind me. Then last year early August it showed up again. I was not happy. Can't comment on the clinchers, sorry.

    Vests

I have a questions about Eagle vests. Do they float you well enought to keep your head above water when you drop to shortend the line or rest? One thing I hate is having to work to keep my head above water while sitting there resting.
  3. 12" x 1.03 straight strung in spectra. I also have been buying from InTow for 10-ish years and will echo what Off Friendly said. A few years back Brenda was going to get out of the business for various reasons. I'm glad things worked out and she's still building products. Great customer service.
  4. Watching my gates... ahh Richard you are the funny man. We ski in the same division so that will be kind of hard  I suppose I should weigh in on this since I did say they were overrated. 1) Leave them as is 2) Entrance optional, exit manditory. I have bigger things to worry about with my skiing than the gates. Sure I go through them, but before them and after them it's a constant battle for me. Mentally and physically.  Besides you kick my butt all the time anyway so no worries.
  5. Ahhh, Crescent Bar... the good ole days. C. Knox could get it done on a slalom ski to be sure. Some stories are ledgend around these parts. I watched T. Goodman jump mid 140's at that site which was a good poke for the day. We towed the boat down there, free skied on the main river some, a little tourney action and a little golf. Oh yeah, and some of that other stuff TW is reefer-ing to.
  6. TW's explanation was where I ended up when it finally worked. I do have a photobucket account that I pull(ed) the URL from. And yes, as Horton said, I alinged it left. 800px max width... got it.
  7. Humm, not quite sure how I did it after multiple edit trys. Well kind of remember??  I guess it worked.
  8. Trying to post a jpg without a clickable link. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg274/sixat38/DSCN0814.jpg
  9. I like the idea. What happens when TSA rifles around in there checking for whatever-they-check-for? It probably won't get put back togther as pretty as you have it the pics. Just food for thought. Real nice job however.ÂÂ
  10. "I figure I better put the boat up before taking her to the emergency room, though."  At least you have your priorites straight.
  11. Richard, Bat Out of Hell (Meatloaf) in the back ground if I'm hearing that correctly. JTH should be able to appreciate that I'd hope.
  12. Non-drinker too, but would purchase it for social events where I need to bring a "gift" in form of a beverage. Or loss of bets where I have to anti-up beer of my choice.
  13. I think it might be over for me this year. Low tonight 18 - high tomorrow 40-ish. Sat night 19. Sunday 40-ish.
  14. These guys ski year round and don't let much get in there way. Yes, we all skied two sets that day. And if was right at the 80 degree rule IIRC. 40 air/ 40 water.
  15. OF & RD, beautiful day over there. As opposed to the day you took me skiing.ÂÂ
  16. Roger if your serious about catching a ride there's a pretty fair chance I'll be in O town in mid to late January for a couple days of work. I was going to spend a few extra days and try to find a ski ride if possible. I mean, if anyone is sking that time of year I like to bring my ski. Jim
  17. I'm a lurker. I suppose I should post more but seldom find the time. Probably should make the time. Is that a bad thing? I do read because, first & formost, this is good entertainment. I have met MS, jdarwin & MAD11(I think) at the spring 2008 6rnd tourney at the Ski Ranch. They probably don't rememeber but it was a fun event and for me to get to ski that early in the year was a plus. I also know richarddoane and Officer Friendly as they treated me to nice day skiing earlier this year. I met eleeski at a tourney in late June this year. I really don't know what I could contribute as I'm not near as funny as most characters on this site. I suppose I could review the early serial numbered Z7 I skied this year vs the late model serial numbered ski, after they changed things a smidge, but most of the Z7 has been covered already. Sure I have opinons about skis I ridden over the last few years. But my main thought is I could beat any of them into submission and be making all my current mistakes with all of them. It's the whole idea of... "it's not the arrow, it's the indian" analogy. But skis have come along way in the last 10 years for sure. Even the last 5. All that aside, I do enjoy visiting here and thank Horton for hosting. Jim - back to lurking
  18. Heard "lil John John Hortons" name tossed around this weekend at the tourney. Both these guys jumped too. Richard, did you get your "number" you wanted in jump. Sorry I couldn't stick around. Hope your drive home was decent. JL
  19. Nice job Richard. I presume that was 38? Not your first was it? I have yet to run it... even in practice. Next year. Sounds like a skiing/skier comment eh. So who's the cheerleader in the boat? Go Zippy go! Priceless. I love it.  I had the oportunity to ski at Sun Basin in Sunday. Stayed home and did yard work. My priorities are all messed up I know.  Take care my friend, Jim
  20. Way to go on the PB Zippy. Ran 35 in all three rounds didn't you? I missed last weekend due to a hurt back. I'm debating on waiting til next year to ski again but don't know if I can hold out. Yeah it's a long winter and I will have time to heal but I also have other irons in the fire over winter. A techinally correct rip of six solid turns & pulls on one of your easier passes it's sometimes just about as satifying as running your hards pass. Just getting out in open water and linking bunches-O turns together is right up there too. Breaking that barrier into the next line length... I'll be skiing for a few more years.
  21. No insult intended by me Joe. My wife & I had a great time in Covington meeting & skiing with you all. And to stay on topic... this spring I took my wife off an old HO Esprit and put her on my old D3 Custom X and she immediately liked it better and started improving.  Jim
  22. Hey John, take it easy on JD. He was one of the nicest guys I met down there at the Memorial Day tourneys this past spring. Well next to SCoke & MS that is.
