  1. @bojans I read a past post from Seth that he could not tell much of a difference, maybe he can chime in. I'm in the same situation as you and plan on switching from a double Strada setup to a Reflex / RTP. From a durability standpoint, I'm leaning towards the g-10.

What I noticed is the plates have slots instead of holes that are used to attach the plate to the ski. How do they keep the attached plate from accidentally moving around on the ski? Tighten the hell out of the screws????

  2. I bought a 200 promo from a dealer with a whopping 60 hours. IMHO, if you are looking at getting a new boat, buying a promo will get you into a boat that has been dialed in and save some serious cash.
  3. I've had both and have never had an issue. I loaned out a pair to a guy that was having difficulty getting out of the water. After he came back from skiing a set he thought it felt like cheating. The only complaint that I have heard is that some of the short line skiers having issues re-gripping back on the handle.
  4. My question to you guys is, what is the difference and or possible advantages between the two different binding setups?

I'm sure I'll get a lot of "personal preference" answers, but the has to be some difference that has made you go with one setup over the other. As a side note, it appears that I see more skiers going back to single boot. ??

The reason that I ask is currently I'm on double Stadas ( going back as far as when they were RS1s) and I'm thinking about going to a Reflex / RTP. My back foot is cramping up for some reason after a few passes and I think I could get more forward easier with a single boot.

    Thanks

  5. @aswinter05, switching over to a Stoltz PU cut down on some of the scuffs. I noticed your roller is black in the same spot that they installed mine during the retro-fit. The keel on my boat doesn't sit on the roller, but I have scuff marks on the cross bar from the keel making contact with the trailer. I'm thinking that this was a poorly laid out design. Before the retro-fit when there was only 4 bunks on the trailer it looked like the trailer wasn't made for the boat.

Would putting another roller on the other side of the cross bar help in my situation?

@BraceMaker the pics above give a a pretty good idea of what I have, but the cross bar trailer doesn't come down in a "v" but is slightly bowed.

  6. This is a similar issue that I'm having with my 200 on a Phoenix. The roller is on the rear (stern) side of the trailer near the front two bunks. You will note that the keel has scraped some of the white paint off. My trailer was also modified by Phoenix, they changed the trailer from 4 long bunks to 4 smaller bunks near the front and two more at the rear. They also welded on the bow roller that you see in the pic (they gave me the black one that was leaving marks so I swapped it out to a Stoltz).

Would adding another keel roller on the other side be a solution?

ok, you guys have me sold. I'm going to drop a call out to cali and get a new Camaro vest and shorty...I hate, hate being cold. I was going to wait for the blacktec to become available; however, full suits are generally long for me for a good fit anyway.

I'll take your advice. Too bad @Horton is trying to jump on your bandwagon.

    Thanks

So would it be more beneficial for a 190 - 200 lb skier like me still working on 15 off to either kick the boat speed up to 32 or utilize a traditional shaped ski? My current ski is a 67" Strada 55 (Sen c), I was thinking about going with a 68 in a traditional (S2, Quest, ...). I'll be down at Bennett's in June so I might try a new ski.

  9. I skied at JEPAWHIT in Gaines for a few seasons, a Big Dog qualifier is held there quite often. World class conditions, pulled by a current year SN 200.

Is there still a ski club on Belleville lake? Their website is down, maybe I'll try to dig up some numbers. I'm looking for a place to put some hours on my boat.

  10. I had a Aquasphere .5 that appears to use the same tech of the Camaro that I saw in Fla. The POS Aquasphere lasted less than two seasons. I'm very hesitant to drop more cash on the more expensive Comaro and get the same results.

I am in the market for a new vest when I'm on a public lake. I need a lot more floatation than my Eagle provides.
