  1. I totally agree Ed! They've definately got a winner in the 200. I had forgotten about the difference between boats though. Since they changed over to using zo, I lost the drive to compete. If I skied behind zo all of the time Id probably be like all of the other zo lovers. I don't have a problem affording a blinged out boat. My problem is being forced to if I want to continue to ski tournaments and feel good about my performance. I think that zo "might" be easier on your body once you have changed your style to agree with zo. Just a guess though.
  2. mrpreuss, I've tried all of those tricks and it felt nothing like zo. I'm guessing that I weigh a little more than you and probably don't ski near as smooth as you. I've heard of a few guys that can cross over between the two systems with out a problem. I'm not one of them! I have to agree with you that zo is probably a better slalom pull once you get used to it. I think the newer boats like the 200 make transitioning between the 2 alot easier. Making zo available to new boat owners exclusively did tournament skiing a great dis-service. Introducing a new product that will closer emulate zo is a step in the right direction.
  3. Hey, I found it interesting although I understood NONE of it! Ha ha
  4. Just kidding ski brain, that pic reminds me of ones we get in our local paper every year where launching off the roof of your vehicle would work! On the main lake the ramp gets real slick with green slime and invariably some unlucky boater pulls their boat off the trailer and their tow vehicle follows. Needless to say, but you don't want to leave your kids in the vehicle while launching!
  5. Ed, I'll be picking your brain later about settings if you don't mind. It sounds like it could be a winner! I think the step bottom concept could help my aging body.
  6. Who doesn't like Monza's? Especially the black ones! I'm wondering if the S2 is going to be legendary like the Monza? I'm gonna find out!
  7. I don't know if I'm just slow since out was written january 2011 but last night I read Bruce's latest article about staying open to the boat in the Tech articles section. As would be expected, literary gold!!!
  8. In Canyon Lake we are forced to coexist with the wake boarders. Our site is a long inlet that feeds the lake. We have a course in the front half and the boarders have the back area. Most of the boarders are good people and easy to get along with. The ones that cause the problems are the "so called" pros and the flunkys that hang with them. They've been caught demolishing our course and are constantly coming into the course during a skiers set with their middle finger flying. There extremely arrogant and are always trying to start fights with the skiers. I don't understand why anyone would want to promote that type of behavior. For a season or two they lost their rights to hold events at the site due to trash, drinking and profanity. I realize that not all boarders are this way but when you drive by their events and hear the music and profanity and see all the kids running around listening to this it makes you wonder. I'm not perfect by any means but I try to set a good example for my kids and in my mind this isn't the type of thing I want my kids around.
  9. Me too. Mac suggested skier to skier. That's probably the best buy. The place I mentioned requires that you trade in your older equipment to get the same price. With me being gone with work asl of the time it makes swapping a bit of a pia.
  10. When is that z box available? Is there anymore skier feed back a guy could read on it? That's the main reason that I want to up grade to stargazer
  11. Jipster43, is that the man made lake next to the freeway? I haven't been to Bozeman for a while. You live in recreational paradise! Used to ski Big Sky quite often when I lived in Missoula but that was prior to 2004.
  12. Thanks Mac I'll check that out. I'm assuming that's a purchase price without having to swap out my old equipment.
  13. Rico, ya that's the deal, I need the multi line along with everything else that's involved in the swap. I think my unit was the 5.0 version. Is that $650.00 still a good deal? And no, it doesn't really mater if its new or not just sounded like a pretty good deal to me. I'm open to suggestions.
  14. I talked to centralkentuckyinboards off of ski it again about upgrading my pp system to stargazer. He said with trade of my old unit I could be set up with brand new components for around $650.00. You might want to contact them as it seems that they might have what you need. They'll have my equipment as son as I can get around to taking it out.
  15. Jipster43, which site are you skiing at in Bozeman?
  16. Horton, this thread name should changed to Cold water "LACK" of pole
  17. To quote you MS, Lienenkugels rock! But Sierra Nevada rocks harder
