  1. Love my T1!! I feel the torque at the finish of the turn and it seems much easier on this older skier's body! My -35 off tonight felt like -32 off!
  2. @usaski1‌-Mark, you made history: I am glad I was there to cheer you on at both Regionals and Nationals! Congratulations on another milestone for you. I really enjoyed visiting with you: you are inspiring everyone!!
  3. @Zman-I am sure you have seen many athletes ejected, fined, and put on probation for poor sportsmanship! Really?? They were not asking for rules clarifications!! They were almost to the fist fighting stage of an argument. Maybe you should ask around before making such comments!
  4. @LeonL‌-I do not want to comment further on all the specific details of what was said, but you are right. Andy told him that he was just there skiing and that he did not have a dog in that fight. He was ready to ski against either one of them and would have beat either one of them on that night. It is a shame that some accused him of things like: manufacturing a win, or pre-planning this for many months. Andy Mapple may never comment on this forum about those involved, but all of those guilty parties should make public apologies to him. @SkiDawg- maybe you want to comment on what happened? I feel terrible for Dave Miller too, but Jeff Rodgers is also a class act. He was entitled to the reride under the rules of our governing bodies and would never have intended to stir this pot that boiled over. Most sports would have ejected, fined, or even banned some of the individuals from ever competing again. Now it is time to let others sort this out. I love the event and appreciate Greg Davis, Nautique, O'Brien, and all of those involved for bringing us such a unique event.
  5. @skikolb- I was there also and you are right on; the few individuals who started the mass protest acted immaturely and delayed the event. Dave Goode even verbally attacked Andy Mapple who was waiting on the dock to ski against the winner of that matchup. I guess Tyler was in the dark because the spectators were never informed of the details or facts concerning the reride. It is a sad day for waterskiing when Dave Goode and other Goode ski team members, who I will not mention, caused this kind of scene. They acted like kids throwing a temper tantrum. I cannot believe this happened to Andy being blamed for anything at all. I talked to Andy this morning and he handled this situation with the utmost integrity and respect for our sport. He is the true Big Dawg Champion and he deserves the respect and recognition for all his accomplishments and contributions to waterskiing!!!
  6. @Wish-can you please send me all the details and some photos of your Orlando Lake Front Home? We just sold our condo in Orlando and would love to consider your home. alvinneff@mac.com
  7. @gregy- I rode the T2 back in June and now have a T1! The ski turns effortlessly and comes back under you without a feeling of load like Andy said. It also seems to ride a bit deeper that my 6.0 which feels more stable to me. I will be at the booth tomorrow and here at Nationals all week of you want to talk more. Of course Andy will really be happy to spill the scoop now. It was hard keeping this design a secret, I have seen it being developed for over a year! Exciting stuff for Mapple Skis!
  8. @ShaneH‌ LOL!! I have seen Andy turn 4 ball at -43 many times. Andy just made a statement today to all of those who think he may be over the hill. Andy, Jeff, and Jerry will keep Team Mapple in the limelight! Go Andy, Go!!!
  9. @Horton Congratulations on aligning us with Miami Nautique International! They are awesome in every way, by supporting our sport so generously, and providing the best customer service that I have ever seen! Shout out to Henrik and Kim!!
  10. @Scoot1123 you owe it to yourself to demo a Mapple! You will fall in love with it and bring one or more home. I am heading down to the Mapple Performance Center tomorrow with 5 other new Team Mapple skiers! Enjoy your trip in December!
  11. Both skis are awesome and deliver stability and an early path as described. I think the different shape and surface areas will be skier specific based on height, weight, and style of skiing. I love my 6.0 and look forward to another trip to the Mapple Performance center next week! Any skier that is looking for a competitive edge should make a reservation to demo these skis!
  12. @MrJones-I rode the 66" 6.1 at 162lbs with no problems into -38off but Andy thinks I would need a softer flex. I think you are right on target since you have seen the -41off loop. Go do it again at Cottonwood!!
  13. @jdarwin, Glad that you like the ski. I knew you would rock the 66" 6.1 after watching you this weekend in Dallas. Go Team Mapple!!! BTW-Awesome Driving you did this weekend!!
  14. Scot, Awesome skiing this weekend and welcome to Team Mapple! Andy was very happy to hear about your first tournament on the ski! Lots of Elite skiers are trying the skis thanks to all of the great performances like you and Jerry Goodson! Go Team Mapple!!
  15. Both the 6.0 and 6.1 are amazing but I am staying on my 6.0 for now. Welcome Paul Armour to Team Mapple as of today on his new 6.1. He is ripping it right out of the box! Watched Jerry Goodsen cruise through -39 again this morning with Andy! Team Mapple is growing stronger every day!
  16. Started off with 2 days at the Mapple training center and now Team Neff has arrived for the week! My son, wife, and I are all excited to return here to ski the Nationals!
  17. 2013 Nautique CB that is ready to sell!! This metal flake beauty is a skiing machine with only 55 hours!! Cheap sales pitch!!!!!!

  20. I like the idea of skier friendly calls in the case of a very close review. If more than one review is needed, the skier should get the benefit of the doubt. I also think the skier should not be held at the end of the slalom course while reviewing the gate. There is no reason that they cannot continue at risk, if the gate review cannot be done rapidly. I have seen a good friend of mine iced at Nationals while a long gate review was done, the gate was eventually called good, but his feet were cramping, and he lost his entire rhythm.
  21. @SkiDawg-Man that su**ks!! You and Kim are tough competitors! Hang in there and know that your entire ski family is thinking of you in this terrible time! I always love hangin with you at the lake! My thoughts and prayers are with you buddy!!!
  22. @DanE Those settings are what Andy considers a starting point for the 66.75" 6.0. I ride a 65.25" ski and Andy set my fin at .777,2.490,6.810. Hope that helps!!
  23. @ShaneH If you really want to wake up the ski, go closer to Andy's settings for this ski! 6.820,2.50,.780. The tail measurement you have is fine but I think you will like the more responsive ski with a bit less depth and length. Stick with it, Shane! We want you on Team Mapple!!
  24. @ShaneH You forgot to mention my boy, Jerry Goodsen who ran 1@-41 off on his Mapple ski. Congrats to everyone: Wish I would have been there!
  25. @Horton, I have issues with being a ski junkie just like you! I can't wait till my next trip to Florida! Naughty or nice is not an issue as long as you have not maxed out the credit cards! Happy New Year!
