  1. @MarcusBrown I understand the high-level concept you are talking about. Can expand on the controlling feet and handle movements? I think this is where the "meat is". When you say "move your feet too far out" is that in front of you, putting you more in a chair position or out to a more severe turning edge, tipping your hands and shoulders to the inside? Or could it be either. Are you saying as long as the skier has generated speed to centerline and not overloaded themselves, the longer they keep their handle and feet distance "close" through the transition, the higher on the boat they will ski? I sometimes feel i manage to keep my ski underneath me, not letting it shoot to a severe turning edge, but at the expense of a flatter ski and flatter path to the buoy. There seems to be a happy medium...
  2. A topic I always want to learn more about and hear other's ideas and opinions. I think one aspect of swing that is key and not talked about as much, is whether or not the skier has created the "correct relationship" with the boat. I think the majority of us are being pulled by the boat rather than being free from the boat. I feel like if the skier is not free then the skier will be pulled to the inside at every ball with no space. Pro skiers create the relationship with the boat so easily. So how does a skier consistently "get free" so they can continue outbound off the second wake?
  3. After a good amount of sets on the 2021, I can say the ski is working great for me. I'm running more back to back 35s than I have in awhile and getting more looks at -38. Last week I ran 4@-38, so I know I can run 38 again... I recommend people try it because it does feel different with the changes they made.
  4. Update- made a few fin changes per a friend: boots back, fin back and deeper. Ran two 35s, which is a great set for me. Then ran 6 @38 no continuation. I know practice pb's are nothing for most, but for a 36mph skier, to run 38 for the first time is a huge accomplishment. Practice pb was 4@38 and tournament pb is 2.
  5. @Stevie Boy It took me a handful of sets to get in sync with the ski. I don’t think the new speed of the ski would hurt someone who is a power skier. It definitely helps me in our warm, slow water in TX right now.

     

    The 2020 shape has been excellent. I Loved the stability, quick turns and level riding attitude of the 2020. I had better success with the long/shallow settings. Being the same shape and rocker, the 21 adds less effort and an easier time getting the ski through on my offside. I notice it most the back half of the turn. I was surprised a few times this weekend thinking i was coming in on not such a great path, but the ski came through and grabbed angle. I sold my 2020 to a friend this weekend who was previously on a 2018

  6. 5 more sets on the ski- I had a friend visit, so we skied a lot! Still running stock long/shallow settings. I did the same on the 2020 as well.

    Overall the ski is less effort and more free, especially in the tail. Not to the point of blownIng the tail easily, but more free than the 2020. Wife said I looked fast side to side.

     

    Less is more for me on this ski, especially on my onside. Onside feels different than my 2020, but the tip still stays down nicely. If I don’t push on the ski, it comes through nicely. If I do push on it, I don’t quite get the ski through all the way as of yet. I’m sure I can adjust that out a bit.

     

    Offside is sweet for me. It comes through easier and grabs more angle than I was getting on my 2020.

  7. I have one set so far on my 2021, hoping to get a handful more this weekend. I'm a 22-35off skier at 36mph. I ran a few 28s and handful of 32s. Initial impression is less effort cross course, feels faster, but hard to determine with one set under my belt. Where I feel the most difference compared to my 2020 is off the second wake, going into my offside. The combination of less effort for speed and slowing down less created a new feeling- The ski came through easier on my offside than my 2020. I still need to adjust my timing because of the speed differences and tweak my onside.

  9. I use SIA quite a bit, with zero issues. I sell all my skis on there, about 30 skis so far. I’ve sold to people outside the US as well. Primarily use PayPal and Venmo. The ski community is small, so you can usually get more info on someone.
  10. I’ve tried both stock settings along with something between them. I’ve come to the conclusion I ski better with the longer and shallower settings. On the 19 I really liked

    numbers between the 2 stock options. Practice pb the other day... 2.5@38. 36mph.

  11. I have a 5 sets on mine. I’m a M2 skier, 22-35 off. I came off the 2019 vapor. I ran up to my practice avg first set. First, I could tell the ski rides deeper because of the stability I had in my glide and turn in. The ski feels very planted everywhere in the course. The turns are “flowy”, as my wife described them. I was suprised she noticed a difference like that, but it is a very smooth turn. You can tell the tunnel change makes a difference. The biggest difference is how level the ski rides. Offside turns are easier because of it. When I’m skiing good, I’m earlier than on my 2019. I’ve tried a few settings and I think the ski and /or me likes the long/ shallow settings.
  12. I’ve had every vapor. Comparing the 16 to the 2020 (1 set so far).... The 2020 feels more secure/planted by staying level more. The construction difference alone is a big change.... the 2020 has different core, carbon and innegra added... it is a much smoother, damper ride
